The look of the Sky Tower in Summer Update

Also what I thought and use the same slider with 4m or 8m intervals that you just adjust. There was no explanation why it was difficult for height adjustment. I can't see it being the sequencer or anything as it should just detect those start and end pieces accordingly.

I mean they could even of had it so you click built the pieces rather than a dynamic drag system if needed.

Yea there are many solutions really. I guess the Flat Ride data structure doesn't support any variable elements, its all static. So if we want variable lengths Frontier might have to change/heavily modify the data structure which means all existing flat rides have to be adjusted as well, which could be difficult but above all takes a lot of time.

The tower is sometimes located on a building, like at the Europa Park, maybe that is where it comes from.
I guess, due to switching of the collision, one can build a building around it, depending how the guests walk on the base up to the ride.

I know, but then i would build my own platform, not have one already there^^

Anyone else disappointed with the round look of the cabin to the upcoming Sky Tower? I thought they nailed it in RCT with the Hershey Tower. I was hoping for an Intamin cabin without the hershey theming.

I'm actually happy that it's more round like this. I was hoping for one similar to HUSS' Sky Tower.

They could just give us different sized versions if it is too difficult to implement a variable height.

Yeah, this would also give them a great marketing angle: "OUR NEW UPDATE WITH 20 NEW RIDES (10 different observation towers, 10 different drop towers)!!"

I LOVE the look of the new sky tower, it looks modern for generic parks and also great for sci fi parks. It would be great if they did a more 'normal' version in the future, as this would fit in with many other styles of parks.

This is based on a real world observation tower, the British Airways i360, in Brighton UK.

Well I'm guessing it is, if it isn't I'll eat my keyboard!

I guess then it is based off a real work tower. They have been doing an excellent job with ride details but this one seemed too RCT style and I guess having a standard GREAT AMERICA Intamin style tower would of looked more standard.

Ooh, I saw that last year! It was awesome. First time I've been to Brighton and I didn't know it was there, when we first laid eyes on it, we were just awestruck.

I'm guessing that the cabin on the PC tower (and the RCT3 one) is more modern, 21st century like than the cabins that have a flat bottom and top and sides like the Great America one. What they should do in the future is offer a more classic 20th century sky tower. At least we have a sky tower like RCT3 and RCT World now.
