Come back when i feel like it and sell on the market or wait for missions needing what i have and make lots of money. Doesnt matter if it takes days or weeks to unload it. Everything gets boring if its all you do.
The Mining nerf was likely the worst implementation of a Balancing in Years...

As a full time explorer, I disagree. The earning rate of exploration is, at best, a couple of million an hour. Yes, I know we go out for long periods but it seems miners spend similar amounts of time mining and jumping back and forth selling and still make significantly more. I can stack delivery missions for a better rate then I get exploring.
As for the DSSA Carriers? Stupidly high tariffs on services means they get a no from me, so they aren't really any use except in a an absolute dire emergency - but if you can get to a Carrier, you'd probably have made it to the Bubble, so...
What do I have? Info that is considered 'Commercial In Confidence'. No, can't tell you what it is, you can't afford my legal bill that may result. What I can say is that this isn't all the changes we are going to see and if you don't like this one, hoohoo, hold on because you are in for a ride..

And yes it makes sense. The game is live, there's no possible way fdev could try to balance the different careers on their test server and have any clue what was actually going to happen in practice. So they can't change it all at once live. They've explained this. Change one thing at a time and adjust, then move to the next.
You didn't do the LTD lasermining runs in Borann, in a wing, did you?
600 mil / sell for all wingmembers (trade dividends), with mining-times ranging around 1 hour + traveltime. This was before the release of Fleet Carriers (which introduced Tritium and re-arrange all hotspots).
Who needs mining? I've made nearly a billion today trading in my FC... (but it was quite a long play session - I was going to stop at 1/2 billion but got greedy!)
I actually love it even more now. Laser mining for me is to get Painite, Platinim, Osmium, Samarium and Praseodymium. The first three because they are the highest value, the last three because I can store them on my FC and use for mining mission hand-ins when doing BGS work.
The thing is though... since Osmium is worth a lot now + very usefull to store in case of those mining missions, makes me have to rethink my strategy regarding Osmium. Is my personal greed going to overcome my usefullness regarding my PMF?
Regarding Core Mining, pretty much all Core-only materials are now worth a lot more than they used to, sadly the PWA is broken, so I am not going to do any Core hunting until it gets fixed.
Well, I don't really trust you because you have commercial interest in promoting and defending ED however I have to ask. When is that ride going to happen?? For now FDev started really badly... Nerfing stuff for starters does not look good in my world, giving us the carrot first would probably have a better outcome...

One of my previous problems with hotspots is that there was really no point in mixing it up, you just pointed at the 'get rich quick' hotspot on the ring and dropped. Having just one overarching commodity to mine (painite) is really boring when there's so many available.
I'm seeing some really good mining missions for Osmium...
It's all going to be a bit bumpy for a few weeks but I like the direction FD are going with it.

Why would I share with someone who has stated they distrust me? But the change window should be fairly obvious. Also, how can they dangle the carrot without working out exactly what the carrot is? The balance has some significant issues, ones that will need to be modified one at a time in order to reduce/prevent further screw ups like previous 'fixes'. I know that not all the changes will please all the people, that's fine by me. This is merely a step..
Unskilled traders call wing missions unreliable. Skilled traders choose a specific system with the right neighboring systems and work the BGS to make high-paying wing trade missions reliable. I reliably earned >800M/hr to earn 15B while others were working the exploits in the mining rush.

IIRC this is the first time they said they actually want to balance things and they already started. So if the whole balance thing is a lie, why did they implement the mining changes after they announced it?
I guess it would help if you could show me an example where they lied about upcoming balancing changes.
Just to be clear, I don't believe the game will be perfectly balanced after the next few months. I don't know if this is even possible. But we will definitely see some changes.
Anything that increases combat activity payouts is a good call, in my opinion. Especially if it becomes as lucrative as core mining. I never ever want to pick up a miner cutter again.
So sit tight OP. At least wait the fireworks out before you start complaining about the explosion colors not conforming to you taste. Who knows, you might even enjoy the outcome.
Patience OP, they're not done yet. If the balance is not greately improved WHEN IT"S DONE (in a couple months or so), I'll be right there with you saying it was a failure.

And the Reason they Implemented the Mining Nerf was because they did the same as Always. They removed the Goldrush.
Just like they did for Stackable Passenger Missions, Void Opal Corehunting and Rare Commodity Stacking etc.
Perhaps you should reconsider the game's usefulness for your personal entertainment? It certainly does appear that, after 5 years, the game has soured for you, which is perfectly understandable.
Or is ist that you are still chasing that 'good argument' you expressed the desire to have and it is not manifesting?
Please point out where they claimed to balance mining, trading, combat and exploration prior to these updates.
Obviously they changed payouts before, but I don't remember any specific balancing updates.
