The more I trade the more the station I trade at is getting hostile.. is that normal?

Is it normal that stations I trade at my reputation gets lower and lower?

I already have a huuuuge problem in Federation Stations because I'm 'hostile' to them.
I made some mistakes when I started the game 4 weeks ago. Parked in wrong place, rammed the station and stuff...

I'm trying to get my Federation ranking up a little bit because everything is shooting at me now.
I try to avoid all Federation stations....
But now when I look at my info screen it shows that my reputation even gets lower by trading goods ! (Superconductors)...

Maybe it's better to delete the save?
I'm hoping that it's all some sort of bug.

While completing a cargo mission a window popped up showing me what the effects were to the local economy after successful delivery of Indium. Apparently the economy went up, dissatisfaction went down, and my reputation improved 1%. Perhaps when you sell directly to the commodities market the consequence of your sale will affect your overall reputation but without being notified.

I find shipping expensive items like superconductors seems to draw attention to yourself. Also fit some bigger lasers this seems also reduce the amount you get attacked and one last thing you can try his getting bigger thrusters, divert all power to engine and boost away from your attacker if you get caught.

Also it take a while to be friendly with the station factions

Any idea how to raise Federation rating?
I tried doing some missions but I can't dock anywhere anymore since like 75% of the bases are Federation :|

How to lose hostile status with the federation:
(posted this in another thread but figured it might help some folks)

Here is what you do when you are hostile with the federation:

Fly to Ovid and the ovid democrats should offer some missions involving imperial slaves (if the station does not have the mission, relog)
Ideally pick up a few of these missions (surrounding federation systems offer them too. Just make sure the mission giver is a federation supporting faction!)

Fly to Karsinanari (70 lys), buy imperial slaves and fly back.

It took me two of these missions to get back to unfriendly, but I brought some more slaves and flew around/relogged and did some more missions for good measure. Still unfriendly but no one is shooting at me anymore

One thing, the slaves will be illegal when you get to Ovid, so don't get scanned.

This is easily avoided by keeping an eye on the police ships as you approach and when they get to around 3.5 km, you use the heat sink launcher to lower you temp, engage silent running and get inside the docking bay as fast as you can.

Edit:
I should have mentioned that these specific missions offer a rank with the faction as a reward
