...though I suppose he might’ve got legs in the century or so since that picture was taken 😁 (along with the Station upgrade)
 
Looked like they were Xsen's MVN Animate for the capture. Works with strap on sensors rather than cameras. They can presumably just setup and mocap anywhere around Frontier Towers. Seems like a cheap and quick way of doing it. I'll volunteer to mask up, strap in and act like a robot bartender if that's what's required.

The thing that gets me with this clip is he is wearing a helmet..
I guess he wouldn't in game?
I mean, I'm not sure that would make much sense if he was. Be difficult trying to mix the drink while it sublimates and our suits don't look like they have straw holes either.
 
What made me laugh more was in the other game with a barman they had a real mixologist in a mo cap studio covered in mo-cap gear surrounded by cameras and was a massive event.

FD got a guy with a duster, went to an empty space near the staff toilets and polished a desk.
Whatever works...but what kills me is in the end simple things like repetition in the final form will use the same couple of frames on the exact same delivery each time instead of switching it up a little. Hopefully not!

Now why aren't they mo capping for EVA...its only so many movements needed to convey that but not let me speaketh too soon!

That sounds amazing but a mixologist is someone you can just hire for parties like a clown

FD- wipes bar

Frankly I'm glad FD just kept it simple. SC has tied itself in knots over bartender AI, drinking animation and other fidelitous stuff. Gives more time for FD to update Powerplay.
 
That clip of the motion capture of the bartender annoyed me. The movements don't match each other.
