The new biome?

I heard some users say the new biome is a type of desert-- not sure where that information came from. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure if it was supposed to come with the new sandbox map, one of the new DLC scenarios, or what... we're getting so much new content, it's all starting to blend together! What a wonderful problem to have!

That being said, can anyone clarify what info we have so far, on this new biome? I thought it was still a mystery what biome we're getting, but some seem to disagree.

As far as I can tell, the new biom is the Australian outback, somthing like this :)

You can see it in the Australia Pack Trailer. But the Sand seems to have a darker red in Real life instead of that orange Color

Edit: but we do also have 2 kinds of Sand for each Biome so maybe the dark red Sand is included in the Pack

just watch the trailer, the biome is shown there.
