... when you boost around a ring hot spot for 20 minutes looking for the next core asteroid! And I'm not talking about when you're a noob and don't understand how to spot cores with the PWS (bad times). It usually takes me 1-2 minutes to find the next one, and sometimes up to 5 minutes, which can be a bit tedious. But sometimes it can take 10, 15, 20 minutes or more. I've literally fallen asleep more than once with the new mining, and that's something I never did with the old mining. It's not good when your exciting action video game puts you to sleep - although it can be exciting to wake up while boosting toward a suspected core 'roid.
I don't know if there's a problem with the RNG
x) or what, but I often have 4-5 'roids within a stone's throw of each other, and then other times, like this morning, it took over 20 minutes of boosting at 500M/s to come across the next. This is not fun game play. I wouldn't mind it in some random un-scanned ring, but in a hot spot, I think FD should ensure that mining is a fun activity all the time (if you enjoy that sort of thing).
I generally enjoy the new mining, although I quickly abandoned all forms except core mining for now. I'm looking forward to missions that will force me to use the other tools.
