The next DLC could be a Middle East/Sahara pack because of Ramadan

I hope Frontier Will release an animal pack that combines north African animals with animals from the Middle east. I would rather have animals than new scenery.

No, the scenery was North African. Some Egyptian but also Moroccan.

I.e., different from a Middle East pack.

As are Africa and Asia
The Middle East includes Egypt, and sometimes people include Libya and Sudan as well. Obviously, these are (large) countries in Africa.

Uhh, no. I think you pulled that from Wikipedia and it's generally an outdated view. The "Middle East" is also known as Western Asia, or South Western Asia if you like. Egypt is part of North Africa, and so a part of MENA/MENAT, but not the "Middle East". The first one is geographical, the second one is more referring to culture.

I dont know if Frontier will do a pack for the Ramadan, but the problem is the building pieces we got in africa pack, while most of the animals from the pack are from south part of africa. I saw a post that showed a map with animals in their regions and I think we really need more desert animals. Dromedary is a an example of they can use Camel rig and change it. The only way I could see north africa and middle east animal pack could work is a desert biome animal pack.

Litterally wrong. Like not even close. The Africa Pack pretty much was a Middle East Pack, in terms of scenery. The scenery of the pack was Middle Eastern, can't deny that. As for the animals, the Fennec Fox and Scarab Beetle are from there, but yes the other three are not.

Claiming that the North America Pack and Europe Pack are "samey" is kinda ridiculous. First of all, two different continents. Yeah they have the similar animals but the scenery is completely different (talking about buildings and stuff, not foliage).

Basically I just strongly disagree with your claim there.
Lol.

The Africa Pack scenery was based on North African architecture, which sure, has a lot of crossover with the Middle East, but that's only because North Africa was historically Arabised during the 10th Century (kind of like how North American architecture is extremely similar to European architecture, because, you know, North America was conquered and colonised by Europeans).

As for the fennec fox and scarab beetle, the North America Animal Pack contains the moose (European), and Arctic fox (European), so what's your point?

Not to mention the Europe Pack came straight after the North America Animal Pack. We got two packs that could contain extremely similar animals in extremely similar biomes one after the other, from two cultural zones that are extremely similar, and you're trying to tell me it would be somehow different for a Middle East Pack? Why? Why isn't the Middle East just as valid as a location to be visited by a DLC?

My original argument was that this isn’t gonna be the next pack, and if I were a betting man I would bet a lot of money on that. Going back to the whole time of year thing, a Tropical Pack just makes sense with the timing. To kinda accept your argument a little, I think we should get a Desert Animal Pack, with Middle Eastern animals like the Dromedary Camel, I really really want them so bad. This would kinda be like adding the N.A. Animal Pack and Europe pack in reverse order. You get the scenery in one, and the animals in the other. If you have a Desert Animal Pack, you could knock out Australia and N.A. Deserts in one shot. Btw, with this idea in mind, I don’t think Australia needs its own pack, even though it already had one. I think you can flush out the Australian roster with the Tasmanian Devil and Tree Kangaroo maybe in a Tropical Animal Pack and the Emu and Wombat or Wallaby in a Desert Animal Pack. Desert Animal Pack in June/July btw.

I hope Oceania will get its own animal pack: a mix of all biomes. Also: an animal pack that combines Middle east and north Africa, another Asia pack and definitely another South-America pack. Those would pretty much fill the gaps. Extra biome packs and birds would also be welcome off course.

Tasmanian devil is not, at all, tropical (temperate). Wombat would be better as grassland and/or temperate depending on species. Wallaby depends entirely on what species is chosen. In any case, there is a need for Australian animals that don’t live in deserts or tropical areas. After all, most of the population live in the South-East which is temperate (though is labelled as grassland on the Frontier globe).

I give up lol

An Oceania animal pack would be cool to fill the lack of animal from that place, not just a australia, the island around. My ideas for a Oceania Animal Pack:
  • Wombat
  • Echidna
  • Emu
  • Kiwi
  • Platypus
  • Tree Kangaroo
  • Tasmanian Devil (This could work too in an endangered species pack)
  • Tuatara for Terrarium

This would be also my Favourite choices for an oceania animal pack. A wallaby would miss but as there are only 7 spots this would be the animal I also would skip out of the pack.

Great list… I’d keep the devil for an endangered species Pack and pull in Bennett’s wallaby.

Swap echidna for a wallaby and it would be perfect. Wallabies can't be forgotten, they are such quintessential zoo animals.

I love wallabies but echidna is essentiall animal too 🤩 it’s the mammal with beak 😱 I mean come on 🥰

Great list. I'd definitely be happy to wait a little longer for the community's #1 if we got all of these great animals first.

(I almost can't believe I said that lol)

As an Aussie, I still stick by this being satisfactory in filling Australia's niche
I think that’s a good mix. The only thing I’d say is that it would mean there was no non-desert macropod. I think we need at least one. I’d go with Bennett’s wallaby since it’s quite common in zoos worldwide.

The yellow footed rock Wallaby resides in bushland regions, I had opted for it over Bennett's due to the Bennett's being such a bland colouration and the yellow footed is another Wallaby distributed to zoos outside of Australia. I don't mind either way.

True, but it’s still hot-climate (semi-arid). In game terms this is desert or (at best) grassland. … Bennett’s is the most common cold/climate species in captivity although there are alternatives.
