I think I must be in the minority because I don't actually mind the name, I'm just glad we are finally getting another game!

Yup, Elite: Dangerous was the one thing i found, Meh..

Elite: These are the voyages of the starship "Thargoids suck".

Everyone has nice names, my vote would go to just Elite, or New Frontiers

Elite 4 would be just fine. Elite: Dangerous is confusing a bit. Never liked movies/games that had title and then subtitle. Just slap number to title and move on.

I think it should reflect the big difference between previous Elites and this - multiplayer.

Elite: Encounters.

To be honest, my gut says sticking anything after "Elite" feels a bit cheesy and off, "Elite" was just the most epic name for a game ever.

Elite 4 or one of the many good alternatives that have been mentioned, but none that are well known in other games or TV series.

I think '4' should be in the title somewhere - Frontier was called Elite 2 after all.

And you know what? We were right: we're never going to get 'Elite 4'. :D

Not really worried about what it's called, not averse to Dangerous.
Kind of corny, but I always expected "Elite: Online" since that basically is what we all prayed for all these years!

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the name either. In fact if I remember someone asked David why it was called "Dangerous" and he said that was the internal codename for the project, and that the name could possibly change. So if we come up with a good one...

ED has grown on me, but how about this, title is "Elite:" then choose two words from each set below.

Interstellar, Illustrious, Imminent, Impartial, Impending, Incognito, Infamous, Infinitesimal, Interim, Intrepid.

Vanguard, Velocity, Vagrant, Vanquish, Vast, Vendetta, Vice, Vocation.

Feel free to add any other words beginning with "I" or "V" ;)

I quite like the sound of

Elite: Interstellar Vagrant or Illustrious Vanguard.
