Yeah not surprising. Sounds like it was fun though!
to Zaruk Null
1st you chose pilots federation, a democratic system of government, you come across as a tyrant and a self appointed dictator, not inline with a system of government you are trying to take control of.
2nd you chose an empire princess, whom the majority of power in the galaxy are not, there are independants, alliance and federation. you sir are a fool to think you have the majority of votes.
3rd presuming you have the one true princess, I laugh, you are a con and nothing more.
4th RP is ded, give it up
5th to think that the thargoids give a 2 hoots about a human princess, they will most likely kill you and your comrades in an attempt to 'feed' them,
fyi they dont give a 2 hoots about escape pods as seen in many other examples of their interactions with space debirs.
6th if you have an event you want broadcasted, maybe next time use a forum/thread that actually sees more attention (maybe even speak to FDev?)
7th .... expecting people to fight you or interact with you when we have more important things in the game like Community Goals, BGS and PowerPlay, you're dreaming.
8th spend more time in video editing, your voice / audio / sfx was horrible and hurt my ears ( well done good sir, if this was your intent )
9th .... I'm running short on other things,...
10th .. what the hell, I vote for you, cause I just don't care who is presumed 'leader' of the pilots federation,
at least it sets a precedence, so we can knock you off your throne when we give a damn.

5th: Thargoids love eating the Pods as they have shown int he past ..a nd its easy to feed them and get away with your life
6th: this event actually got allot of attention.. allot of peopled showed up.

I don't know where to begin, I feel very attacked from your response and this was unnecessary as I didn't attack you, however you might need to work on some spelling and grammar.
I do appreciate you defending Zarak Null, however I do believe he has a voice and doesn't need you standing up for him.
I will however respond to your responses as you did mine, as an act of generosity.
5) thargoids do not 'eat' pods, as there is no proof that they have a digestive tract to do so, however if you have their anatomy on file, please send it to everyone for analysis.
6) alot of people showed up? can you please quantify what alot of people is? are we talking about 10? 20? 30? maybe even 50? does this equate to alot? can you define for me what alot is?
7) can you compare the capacity and amount of CMDRs that participate in a CG/BGS or even PowerPlay to this event? do you have statistics from both? do you believe this event brought more CMDRs or less? was it more fun for you? or was it more fun for the other players playing this game?
8) wow... that was harsh, do you know my 'crap'? are you referring to what I do in game or what I do in my spare time? I am an engineer by trade, am I good at video editing, probably not, but can I at least criticize something without being called 'crap'? I would have thought so. maybe I'll just go about my day doing my 'crap' and live my life knowing that you do not appreciate it when my thoughts are different to yours.
9) this was my way of having a bit of humor to my questions, however you believed that I was blabbing, this is unfortunate.
My advice / criticism to you, learn to spell, learn to grammar, learn to lighten up and don't flame/attack someone on the forums in future, it's unproductive and wastes everyone's time.
[Edit] I have been corrected and Thargoids do in-fact collect occupied escape pods, however my original statement still stands that we do not understand what they do with them, let alone presume that they 'eat' them.
Would we eat an Alien? especially when we don't know where it's been or what contagions it might hold, it could kill us, or worse... but then again, Darwinism

This is brilliant! I believe that you have just inadvertently invented an important "internet slang" gem: Z0
Z0 is simultaneously an abbreviation for Zarek Null AND a character-graphic depiction of the official way a commander should physically salute the Overlord.
For those unaware, the Z stands for Zarek and the numeral zero stands for Null (as null means zero in some definitions of the word).
What's more, the Overlord salute depicted by Z0 is a variation of the traditional o7 commander salute. With the Overlord salute, instead of one's fingers pointing toward one's head, you twist your hand outward to form a "walk like an Egyptian" type of gesture, with fingers pointing away from the head. This has the added effect that the commander performing the Overlord salute is physically spelling out the letter Z with his/her upper arm, forarm, and twisted hand.
Additionally, Z0 differs from o7 in that the size of the commanders head, and therefore brain, is larger. This helps convey that followers of the Overlord themselves are persons of exceptional intelligence, as evidenced by their choice of leader.
I hereby decree that Z0 is now the official Overlord salute, and that saluting me in this manner over text comms will communicate your alignment with the soon-to-be Overlord of the Galaxy, possibly saving you from a costly rebuy.
One may also use the Z0 salute to slyly express to other commanders that the reason they are about to die is for their disobedience to the Overlord.

I can say with certainty that you are just slandering the might of the Federation. I can see why though, trying to knock us down from such a height. I'm of course talking about the height of our military technology, and how it surpasses anything that dares to oppose it. Let me put this in words you'll understand. Guns and design beat shiny hats and glamour.
Another bonus, Z is right next to \ so you can claim any typos, and any meek supporter of yours (a small subset I'm sure) will be able to claim their Z0 was a typo.
Therefore no one will ever be sure of the true intent, and any genuine support can be simply written off as a mistake.

shooting for the big pilots fed may be a little questionable, they are cheap at the best of times including their less than average Thargoid Payouts. and they are likely to not really care about one princess where there are numerous other galactic powers in play.
BUT. On the Imperial front this could mean a huge sway, with billions of people under Imperial influence, you could demand quite a large sum of credits for her SAFE return! Trillion+ credits is going to get you a lot further than just a political role... who cares about politics anyway???
(this is not a negotiation attempt either and I have absolutely no crush on the princess whatsoever...)
