The perfect system, does it exist?

So I've been calling IX my home for a few months now, it has some advantages as listed below but I got to thinking if there is one system that "has it all".


Ix, Scully-Power Station:

- West in the bubble, but pretty much center of operations between Sothis, Wu Guinagi and all the engineers
- Just under 100ls from the sun
- 15% discount on ships and modules
- Very extensive list of modules and ships
- HazRes 9ly away (for doing pewpew with low jump ships and not needing a scoop)
- Broker 22ly away (pay off all my bounties/fines in the galaxy)
- Planets with engineering materials within a single hop
- Close to Dav's Hope, Naptha Class Tanker and not too far away from Maia (okay, I have an asp that does 48-50ly jumps, the whole bubble is close-by)



So my question is; does anyone know a station and system that is better, i.e.:

- Sells all modules
- Variety of ships
- Has 10-15% discount
- HazRes for pew-pew
- Pristine rings for mining
- Broker service
- Center of the bubble
- Lots of missions
- close to the sun
- etc


Let me know what your perfect system is.

I think some of the items on your list are mutually exclusive. I don't think there are any pristine rings near the center of the bubble. I generally don't spend too much time in one area, so I'm not looking for a "perfect system".

It all depends on what you want to do in a system. What you described as the perfect system looks like it would have a huge population, which means it's more difficult to influence. I like my home system, a few outposts, none with all services, a planetary station with a few more services, but not all, several rings, but none pristine, but most importantly, a small population. Also, any service or module I want is never more than a few jumps, so I don't really care if one system has it all.

Ix was my favourite system for a long time before I got access to Founders World.

I especially like what I assume to be a reference to Dune - "Many machines on Ix - better than the ones on Richesse", which I like to think explains the large amount of available ships & upgrades there :)

My perfect system has twin Earth like worlds with rings, a water world, ammonia world, helium rich, and ammonia and water based gas giants.

P.S. I am still looking.

Delkar has pristine metallic rings in the bubble, though I'm not sure it has much else of what you want.

Maybe you could find a system nearby, or a collections of systems close by that do the job.

It sounds like you've found a pretty good system already considering your criteria.

Maybe check eddb for others close by?

Someone else said it but I don't think pristine rings are found in the center of the bubble.

I'm not sure if the perfect system exists, only you can answer as what is perfect for you is far from perfect for others.

Generally I like high sec, high pop systems in the bubble close to everything. They usually have good ship and module selection, good trade routes and nice missions although I'm finding missions from extraction / refinery systems to be the best paying atm.

In regards to the main question of the original post as to the existence of a so called "prefect system", in my considered opinion there is only one answer.

Guys, I know not every criteria is possible, just wanted to get your thoughts on a system that is as close as possible, or what you think is the best system to hang around in. The bubble is quite small, so "center" is quite relative.

Before Ix, I was in Diaguandri, and before that Wu Giunagi. Every time I moved it was an upgrade. Just wondering if here is a better system :)

BTW I am almost Elite at exploration, so I have to wait a little to get into Shtontartassd Dehhrzfrah or something.

Oh you silly!

You have to use the 'Hogwarts' method:
Buy a stock Sidewinder and give it the name "I Heart Raxxla", then fly to Jameson Station and request docking. You'll be allocated pad 9 3/4 and be teleported to Braben Station in Raxxla.
