Like load YouTube and see for yourself, there are plenty. Then there is the good old Google search with plenty of input from forums and players that post opinions and builds.
And yes I like the Elite Astronomy guy too (if you mean D2EA), sorry that doesn't meet with your approval.
The fact is no ship has 'soul' it is the player that gives the ship soul by the way they see that ship being played - the 'what this ship is about'. And I'm afraid that there are plenty of people out there that will tell you how a ship should be played - The Pilot is but one of many.
You like him and I have no issue with that - but please don't pretend there aren't other choices out there. <O
And you give me ZERO examples. I mean, if you could provide me just one it would help? You can't just refuse my assertion with one of your own while providing zero evidence. I have fired up the Youtube and searched, and there seem to be none with the same polish, information, and detail as The Pilot.
This isn't about "liking" someone at all.
Completely wrong. For instance another reviewer will just give you the handling stats of the FDL and nothing more. The Pilot tells you about that "slide" it does in hard cornering. That definitely goes to the "soul and feel" department of a ship. Some ships have unique things about them or quirks, it's what makes Elite so great.
What? Video game spaceships now have souls??? When did this upgrade happen?
What the heck are you talking about??? Completely laughable idea. Ships have features, stats, and graphics. And a bunch of unseen programming code. Some might handle differently. That's it. Its a computer game. If you want to pretend that they have some metaphysical existence okeedokee... but that belongs in the Roleplaying section of the forum.
I don't mean "soul" in the religious sense of course. I mean it more as in the "character" of a ship. Don't be silly.
Are we really doing the whole nitpicky forum thing about a single word so you can avoid losing a debate, even though you KNOW what I meant and you're just being intentionally evasive about the point?

My friend, you won't win whatever little battle you are hoping to start with me - because I am not interested. The fact is, I have been watching and reading reviews about ships the few months I've been playing and not one has been a 'The Pilot' originated piece.
I don't have to deliver you any names - rhyme or reason as to what I am doing and why I am doing it, that is my choice.
Prove I am wrong. Show me where I can connect with the soul of the ship - someone can tell me what 'they believe' the soul of a ship is, but I could fly it and find 'what someone states the soul of a ship is', means something completely different to me.
A ship sliding does not constitute a soul in my book.
I get you benefit a lot from watching The Pilot's media (even if you don't want to say like) - I am sat here whistling a happy tune to your good fortune - but again, please don't tell me what I need to do to prove something to someone I don't know from Adam -I really don't.
