The Pioneer Supplies FC Service Weekly Upkeep is too much

It's 5 Million a week

That is way too much money considering people who are playing Odyssey are probably running missions from Stations and can restock there, or station hopping to find G3 gear and ignoring FCs.

I think it should be lowered to 2 million, would be more fair I think.

Is there any random engineered stuff on the carrier PS? Not seen any on mine.
Got none on mine after installing it. It carries all suits and weapons (no need to buy stock), but no premium stuff. Also, E-Breach selling needs to be enabled on Carrier Settings.

In comparison with ship Outfitting, that requires restocking, I kinda understand why it has that huge upkeep, since it carries everything all the time. But I would still prefer to being able to select what is available and what not and having a lower upkeep. 5 mil is way high when compared to the total possible upkeep (14% of the max 35 mil) and to the base upkeep (5 mil) and other stuff (Shipyard itself is 6.5 mil, and Outfitting is 5 mil).

I get that making enough for a 35 mil upkeep for a whole month doesn't take THAT long (and running leaner than that is still preferable nonetheless), but the issue is more on the economics that don't make sense. Employing one desk staff selling weapons, a few management systems and probably a few automated systems for stocking and such, and the cost for all that is the same as running a whole ship Outfitting? Bit bonkers. Either gun license screening costs WAY more than we think, or someone is making credits under our noses.

Tottally Agree, too much. For a franchise that technically should be paying me rent, not the other way around, it shouldn't be that much.

2 million is a better figure.

This comes from a commander that has enough cash on hand on his fleet carrier to fund it for literally the next 20 years, even with the new services as is.

Something I only noticed recently, is that the FC storage is even more inconsistent. Like, even the smallest ship has 1000 space for each category (Assets, Goods and Data), meaning 3000 total.
Then, the Fleet Carrier, biggest "player controlled" ship in the game, has a 100 capacity. For all categories combined.
At least you can now fix the multiple entries on items that came from missions, stolen and so on, into a single, Inara-trackable, inventory slot by storing it on FC and then taking it out again (5+billion credits worth asset cleaner xD).
I really hope they put a VERY GOOD multiplier on that storage. Not that all that 3000 space more than once, but just for credibility sake.

A bit late to the conversation but where do you enable e-breach selling on a carrier? I can see it in settings but even on allowed, the npc won't sell them. Do they only sell when carrier is in an Anarchy system?

Not in anarchies as that's where mine is parked and I can't buy them. Maybe try a communist system. If that doesn't work I'd assume FDev just don't want them for sale on a carrier.

Strange... I've bought E-Breaches from my Carrier many times in the past after setting it to allow illegal items for sale, but I just checked and found that option set to "Not Allow." Might be a bug...

I went into my carrier settings to check. I will not try to buy. I do not have a PS installed. I have tried to transfer to the carrier, but no joy there.

I think my comments were a little premature. I had just installed the Pioneer Supplies to my carrier and checked immediately after it was installed. It did say they were not available, even though I had selected 'Allowed' in the options. However, after moving my carrier to another system. I then had the option to buy. Perhaps it was just a simple 'reboot' mechanic?

Good to know it worked. I'll try that myself.
