Except that the Sol system wasn't procedural generation, it was hand coded.

The surfaces of landfall bodies in Sol were proc gen. If FDev intentionally made Mercury that color then they know even less wbout space than I thought.

Almost as bad as when they made the Pleiades Nebula red.
