I mean the whole Thread is Off-Topic anyways which means actually nothing in here is really Off-Topic, so it would probably be ok. I can't draw at all. Even a Toddler could draw better than me

I used to be able to draw like years ago , sadly I avoided drawing during my school years and It never came back. I can still draw maps though if that counts

We could call this Thread the General PZ Discussion or DLC 2025 discussion. It could still be totally off topic, but it would be allowed in the PZ forums then
If I sound sarcastic it's because I am. Moving it and not even reacting to any request is just disrespectful and I see no harm when a community has a thread to just chat. But nope, dump it so no one will see it, just because of rule nitpicking.
Ironically the initial post was liked by a dev when it was still in the PZ forum, so it seemed completely fine with them.

As I said, the new moding policy is more and more restrictive and if it wasn't for some members here, I'd leave by now. The forum, not only the thread.

Heather is a volunteer moderator from the community, not a Frontier employee. She's doing a great work here and it's not even her job, so no need to blame here for Frontier's policies.

Haven't posted much in months I feel. Didn't make any difference, only for me I guess.
It's sad that forums aren't really a thing anymore. When my last favourite forum went nuts with moding people away I was in my 20s and just created my own. Mind you, neither mine or the other one were huge company forums.
Now people are on discord and that never really clicked for me.

When I left a simforum because I decided not to be under one roof with an ableistic moderator, absolutely no one noticed even though I was very active there as well. When I checked on a whim if people were talking about me, one were saying I left because of Planet Zoo.
Honestly, when you make no public announcement it's disheartening how few people in a community you give your everything for even notice.
I care deeply for friends and people I interact with on a daily basis. Always have, always will. But I have people I considered being true friends not even realizing I haven't text them in two weeks when I usually do almost daily. Most people replace others in a blink of an eye.

Which makes me realized we haven't checked in privately on each other for far too long. Will do so once I catch some sleep.
And regarding the forum: Don't know yet. Would miss sharing builds amd would always be a ghost to check other peoples stuff out. Woulld also miss active DLC time. But other than that?
@NZFanatic keeps me updated more on what's going on in the forums than I would check it myself. Part of it is the constant thread derailing and spamming.

I agree, it's no fun to have interesting threads derail in such a manner. I know no one actually meant harm with the #300pages thing in the speculation threads, but it made it so unpleasant to follow any discussions there, plus some rude undertones really darken the mood when honestly I play PZ and engage with the community because I want it to brighten my day, not put me into a bad mood and fight over which animal should or shouldn't be included in the game or such stuff.

I also tried Discord to keep in touch with some people from the PZ community, but it's just not my thing. Also only a lurker on reddit, so all that really remains is this forum and YouTube.

I think it's a wonderful idea to have an off topic chit chat thread. Sad that it got moved. I also don't care about the rest of the forum, only Planet Zoo section.
Seriously, mods please consider it moving back. It's not hurting anybody.

Just want to chime in that forums were a blast back in the day! I loved it, and I always thought it was kind of sad that forums in its original form aren't really a thing anymore. I guess it's only natural that we got Discord and Reddit now. While I do really like Reddit, it doesn't really have a feeling of a "forum". I can't really get into Discord - I have an account, and I mostly just lurk a few channels, but I don't really socialize. When forums were popular back in the day I used to hang out with people online, but as I got older I kind of drifted away from that. I'm not big on social media anyway. Don't have Twitter, Instagram, FB. Literally only have a Reddit and Discord account.

Oh goooosh, yes, the page hunting thing became terrible. But yeah, no mod really cared what was discussed where then, but a thread with a friendly request gets moved and ignored afterwards...

I mostly love this community and think it's very friendly. However, I also noticed a mood shift when it comes to discussing animals. Weirdly enough not even the controversial ones. By now you have to fear to get told of if you want another canine, and I will never get all the hate for european animals. The red fox seemed to be the bad guy of the pack for some. And I honestly don't even want to see what will go on, if decembre won't bring brids (and I still think it's highly unlikely as a decembre theme). Though it seemed to have toned down a bt, but I felt really bad for the twilight pack for basically getting no attention whatsoever, just because flying bats and the winter dlc discussion going wiiild.

I actually use the twilight animals a ton they’re super versatile for me
