General Gameplay The potential of genetic mutations in game.

Your Feature Request / Idea
Evolution is all about animal adaptations that allow species to rise above others in genetic superiority, and we see it in a vast network of different animals, all with branches of evolution that extend to the time of the Dinosaurs.

There for it is entirely resonable to assume that some dinosaurs could easily have these adaptations and not have to require them to be mad experiments of Dr. Wu.

On the otherhand, the franchise also has been keen to remind us, over and over, that the mad science is the MAIN theme of the franchise. None of the dinosaurs are natural. They are all hybids. EVERY dinosaur. We even see this IN GAME already. The genes you are editing come from other animals. And even in the animals that you don't touch, the "Null" genes are all frogs, because we know about Frog DNA in the story.

So, for either option, its clear that this game has a LOT of potential to release some unique genetic variations.

More poison- The game already added this feature with Trodon. Some want it to stop there, but why? Stoping it would make it dull. If no other specimens ever get added, then you are always going to know who poisoned what. And that's kind of dull.

LOTS of different species use poisons and toxins, including Frogs/Amphibians/ Reptiles/ Fish/Invertibrates. There's a ton of support for this, so why should we assume that dinosaurs would be different? That none of them are unique. Toxic skin is a defense from predators, as are poisonous barbs and fins. Electrical shock, in alsorts of marine creatures from eels to jellyfish. Ecolocation, Sonar, Heat sensors, Nightvision, ect. All unique features shared by lots of animals that are not that far from the realm of belief from dinosaurs.

So I'd love to see the game explore THOSE kind of hybrids. Thats where the science of Jurassic Park has always been. From day 1. Using modern animals to fill in the gaps. But just like with Dilophosaurus, maybe for some it doesn't have to be designed that way. Instead it's an unknown secret, only discovered when you brought the animal to life for the first time.

Maybe even then, not immediately. What if you release a new animal, and it's not until it's attacked that you learn about it's new genetic defense mechanism.

Maybe it's natural. Maybe it's by Dr. Wu's design. But just imagine some of the traits that new animals could have, or some that could be applied to carefully selected specimens we already have in game.

The idea of adding a poison feature was brilliant, and i'd love to see more emphasis on ideas like that. Because it's not only a very natural element, but it also the basic principles of genetic tampering that is part of the Franchis's history.

Dinosaurs recreated with all the knowledge we have about modern animals, with modern evolutionary traits. Just like the I-Rex. That's the real test of genetic power.
