The best ship is always determined by the player's goals and the challenges to overcome.
For me a Python is better suited for general game play versus dedicated combat. Still my
engineered Pythons never need to run away from a fight.
Arclight - Python
Makes millions stacking passenger missions. It made a billion credits in 12 hours.
Blacklight - Python
With 240 cargo makes millions with cargo missions and can land at outposts. Also great for
getting allied with local factions, SRV prospecting, asteroid mining, etc.
Starlight - Imp Clipper
Used to be my dedicated mining ship but with the addition of the new mining toys the Python
works a lot better. Currently collecting dust. I'll sell it cheap!
Rapier - Krait Mk II
Dedicated to exploring Guardian and Thargoid sites, HGE collection and SRV prospecting.
Tharginator - Krait Mk II
Engineered for Thargoid combat using AX/Guardian weapons, boosters, reinforcement.
Avenger - Fer de Lance
PVP designed combat ship with Plasma Accelerators and Rail Guns. It's for meet-n-greet!
Ares - Mamba
Combat ship with Multi-Cannons and Beams. Used with the Corvette for two different play
styles in HAZRez and CZs.
Shooting Star - Corvette
Combat ship with Frag Cannons and Beams for up close and personal.
Bright Star - Imp Cutter
Combat trader with 704 cargo, Multi-Cannons, long range Beams and massive shields. Easily
converted for local transport passenger missions. Not used in CZs but no problem if it went there.
Northern Star - Dolphin
The most efficient ship for data deliveries, rank ascension and HGE collection.
Destiny - Asp Explorer
General purpose travel around the bubble transporter to get to the other ships, Dav's Hope,
Jameson crash site, etc. I hate paying expensive ship transfer fees. Thanks to the Guardian
FSD Booster travelling anywhere in the bubble is only a few jumps away.
Evening Star - Orca
Deep space explorer on it's way to Colonia in a second PC account. Not being dedicated to
exploration it may never get there.
