The question of transferring progress from the old version of the game to the new one is Odyssey.

Hello. I am not strong in English, and it is difficult for me to search for information on the forum. I apologize if I repeat the topic. I started trying to play ED even before the Odyssey was updated to version 3.8. After the Odyssey was released, the graphics were raised quite a lot and computer hardware did not allow me to play comfortably. I barely (due to the low FPS of 25-35 frames) completed the Odyssey training. After I didn't play for probably more than a year because I deleted the game. Now I have returned to Elite Dangerous and did not install Odyssey, but continued to play version 3.8. In this version, the progress of the pilot has risen for me, and the ranks of the factions have increased, I have earned a little money.
Having decided to install the Odyssey again, I noticed that the pilot's progress remained at the old level, and the current progress in ED 3.8 is not taken into account and has not been transferred to the Odyssey.
My question is: Is it possible to somehow transfer progress from version 3.8 to Odyssey ???
I play on PC.
There were articles and videos about how to transfer an account from consoles to a PC. And here there is one account, and the progress in the versions of the game is different. Thank you.

I'm afraid to tell you that your progress is lost. I don't think that FDev will transfer 3.8 progress to 4.x after the schism on PC. But you can always try contacting support. Tell us how it worked out.

To add, when the old galaxy was split into live and legacy, so was your CMDR progress. Nothing you do in live (4.0 and Odyssey) affects legagy (3.8), and vice versa - those two CMDRs might have the same name, but are completely separate from each other. You are stuck with the progress your CMDR had when the live version was split from the legacy version.I doubt support can do anything for you here or that there is anyway to transfer progress from a legacy PC CMDR to a live CMDR, but it is always worth a shot.

My advice: Take it on the chin, shrug it off and carry on, as sucky as that sounds.

No it will not, it doesn't work that way. Creating the live CMDR at the time of the split was a one-time process done during the creation of the live galaxy.

If Odyssey and legacy (3.8) are not related, then you can try to remove the commander in the Odyssey. Delete the game completely. Reinstall everything. And maybe the transfer will happen again ??

There's only so many ways that we can say no, it isn't possible to transfer progress on PC in 3.8 to Odyssey. Any progress you have made between the last time you played 3.8 & now will only stay on 3.8. DO NOT clear your CMDR if you want to salvage anything at all, it will do exactly what it says on the tin & you WILL LOSE EVERYTHING if you do.

The transfer is server side - not client side - when they split it - that was it - no more no less.

They made that rather clear in their 10 mile long warnings when I saw the announcements.

Time to move on.
You could try opening a ticket - but I highly doubt they would do anything. (Support ticket - not feed back)
