The restriction to only Windows devices is frustrating, in my opinion there should be a wider range of platforms such as MAC OS, Xbox, etc. This would bring a wider range of players and obviously more purchases of the game.

With Planet Coaster they became available a few years later...mac and console.
We don't know if it will be the same with Planet Zoo but we can hope

Well yeah but this is standard when it comes to AAA games like this. Maybe later down the line they’ll optimize it but it makes sense having it be windows only for now.

Complete disagree. Part of yhe reason JWE was so limited was that it was not pc exclusive. A game like PZ would only be limited by xbox and similar platforms. We've seen Zoo tycoon 3, and it was terrible.

But what JWE and zoo tycoon have to do with PZ console edition? Both games were meant from start to be console games. Meanwhile Planet coaster as pc exclusive got good looking console version. Releasing console version would change nothing for pc players anyway and would open gates for bigger console playerbase, which never had good zoo game (there is more playstation users and they never had zoo game, since zt was xbox exclusive).

I'm not sure this has to do with console, you mentioned ZT3 (2013) but I think it had to do with the choice of the direction of the game franchise.
It's not a bad game but a lot of people wanted these graphics with an updated version of ZT2. It's just a different take on the zoo game genre, which wasn't received that well

Most people I've heard about Planet Coaster on console are quite happy with it. The limiter was something people had to adjust to but it works for console just as fine.
Seeing the issues in the first months with PC, maybe better to have a better version of PC to port to console but at this point I think console would work good.

But it's the other way around as well. Console exclusives or restricted for the first 1 or 2 years.
