the rumbling got quieter, and then much, much longer

I’m personally staying on the safe side and keeping my distance to both Sol and anywhere with a barnacle matrix during the patch. I’ll check any ensuing chaos afterward…

Mostly for RP. If I were purely player-centric, I’d be damn well right in the middle of it when the (figurative) nukes go off.

Decided to take the dare. Landed this evening at Galileo Station orbiting the Moon using my most dangerous ship:

Hey, quit laughing. Every time someone sees "Student Driver" they know the driver could be the most dangerous thing in the commander's chair.
Will wait and see what happens on Monday.

Only laughing a bit.
I have seen the scene in Gone 60 Seconds
I have heard Bob Newheart’s sketch

But I have also read about fully licensed drivers from <redacted>, where getting a license involves little more than paying for it, working as migrants in {redacted} buying a brand new car then driving it home on export plates.

I'm going to try to hide in a black hole, beyond the blue event horizon, not because I'm afraid of Thargoids, but because I'm terrified of any update. Considering the quality of the FDev service, it could happen that they lose the entire Galaxy during the update, so it's best to be at an unspecified place and time, until the bugs settle down. But - since you never really know what are bugs and what are not, then clearly, you can never specify the moment in which they "settled". I think the late Heisenberg would have something to say about that.
Anyway, I'll be back later, because I've tamed a small herd of tachyons and when I release them, the black hole spits them out, disgusted by their imaginary mass, and I throw my hook, hook onto them, and out I go!

I mean, it might emotionally violate some fundamental principles, like causality, but somehow it seems to me that the Fgods don't care too much about that.

"Never play on patch day".

I'm grabbing as many materials as I can today. Might download the update on Tuesday.
