People need to eat, if they have children they also need to feed them, unless you own a small farm or homestead you are in trouble, it's not acceptable to keep people locked up by force at this point. Personalty me and my familiarly are fine, we are 100% self sustainable regarding food, water and electricity, we can also cut our own hair, however not everybody can do that or want to. if someone told me i could not move out of my house, I would ask that person to get off my property asap!

The cat is out of the bag, and it ain't going back, it will cost a lot of blood to disarm the population, the resistance in Europe during the second world war is a good example. This is not the UK and Australia where people just give it up, there will be fighting if it came to that, and that is the issue, we see things very differently and outsiders don't understand, and believe we can just do as they do.
Now a good example is the Bundy standoff, you might dislike him or you maybe don't care or maybe you love him, but that was on a very small scale, multiply that with 10.000 and you got yourself a situation.
You exercise your democratic power at the ballot box.
You want to ensure nobody goes hungry, you vote for a party that promises to end it.
You want "equality", you vote for a party that promises to deliver whatever version of "equality" you hope for.
You want an end to war, you vote for a group that promises to do it.
You want to reduce pollution, you vote for a party who promises to clean up the environment.
You want to avoid extinction, you vote for a party that thinks they can prevent it.
Just don't be surprised - or upset, or angry - if other people have different priorities and vote according to them.
No, I get to choose between rubberstamping one of a handful (sometimes less) of precurated candidates that are invariably far more alike than they are different.
Even if a party had the power to do these things, I wouldn't believe they'd prioritize anything beyond staying in power for another term.
It's hard to be surprised, upset, or angry at voters when you're convinced everyone else's votes are as meaningless as one's own vote, or lack there of.
Beyond the most local of levels, representative democracy is a farce.

This is how democracy works. If it doesn’t work that way, it’s not a well functioning democracy.
Personally I’m a bit fond of the Swiss system, where the direct voting is used more in spesific cases.
This shows thrust in the population. I hope good electronic voting systems will open for more use of this.

I am not one to outsource my voice, or responsibility, to anyone . And I am very, very surprised, and on occasion also upset AND angry, about the stupidity of people who think "Get a new Car!"..."Go travel abroad!" and other stuff are THEIR priorities . About people who value what they perceive "their Freedom" over clean air . Clean water . Healthy food . Susatainable economy . From my point of view, the majority of humankind is pretty stupid ( its an IQ thing, I know its hybris, I cant help it XD ) .

There were more canned goods. The number of persons wearing masks is still high.
I can hear much more traffic outside, and more people are going outside.

TBH, I kind of get the feeling that the people of Britain (the part where I live, at least) will decide when to end the lockdown for themselves, regardless of government advice.
There's been 4 weeks of, literally, almost no traffic in the streets but over the last week I'm noticing more cars, vans and even tractors as well as more pedestrians on the streets.
Speaking as somebody who's been earning a living as a freelance writer (for a Chinese company
) for the last decade, and got screwed out of my life-savings last year, I was in the process of looking for a full-time job when the virus hit.I'd actually been hired and was due to start work on March 30th, but that got cancelled, with the result that I now haven't got a pot to pee in and I've got to do it all again when this ends.
Sooner the better, really, cos living on food that's donated by friends & family gets old fast.
I forgot: I had to re-inflate my left rear tire, since it was low. I keep a hand pump around. One of my fellow residents said that I was really "old school", quite cheerfully. He had no idea...
