The Secret is to Bang The Rocks Together Trophy

What are classed as planet side missions?

I have recently been doing a lot of planetary scan job missions and I'm pretty sure I have done more than 25. The description of the trophy just says to complete 25 planet side missions.

Are these the planet side missions I need to be doing for 'The Secret is to Bang the Rocks Together' Trophy or are there some other missions I need to be doing?

Whether it was due to a bug or the trophy's description is simply misleading (or we're making assumptions that since it concerns planetary missions, we HAVE to take special ones to unlock it :) ) , but i got this trophy suddenly after taking ANY type of mission from planetary bases (as in mostly delivery and assassination missions, like i'd take from any other base or mission board).

I started playing this game at the end of June last after the PS4 launch then (as i just saw after checking me trophies on my Vita :) ), i got this trophy on the 7th of August, about six weeks later), before i believe i'd ever taken a scanning mission, or i'd only done one or two at most...

I definitely hadn't done 25 scanning missions and i've MAYBE done ten in total in all my ED playtime.

So whether i just got lucky or it was by design, i'd advise you to just take any missions you feel like from planetary bases and IF this trophy doesn't pop soon, start doing scanning missions, but i'm pretty sure you don't have to do any :) .

Ah. Ok. So I land AT a base ON a planet, take missions from there and then go do them? I'll give that a go. Thanks. I'll let you know if that works and if it does hopefully provides anyone who see's this with the info they need too.

This sounds right.
I wasn't using the srv at all when I got this trophy.
It just... turned up.[yesnod]

This is indeed the case. Planet side missions are missions taken FROM a planetary base. So anyone who see's this who is trying to get this trophy, just land at a planetary base where missions are available, pick up as many missions as you can and just keep doing them. Once you hand your 25th mission in, the trophy should pop. :)

EDIT: Donate missions count too as I took 2 of them from the base I had landed at, handed those in and the trophy popped.

Glad to see you sorted it, I don't remember this been an arduous one on the road to platinum. [up]

This trophy was the first I got, sometime during my first few days of playing the game. But then, I was only doing booms and data missions for the first month after launch. Trophies don't mean anything to me, thus I didn't really notice it till the subject came up here and I checked back. Boom there it was, my very first.
