Two kids go to a Burgerking. One gets chips, the other gets a burger. They both eat and enjoy their meal. But the one who had the burger notices the kid with chips had a few extra chips on his plate than he otherwise would. At this point the kid who had the burger demands that changes be made in future so that chips only be sold in regulation sizes, to be no bigger in size than his burger.
I see a lot of that here.
No its more like two people go to BK and one orders a burger and fries, the other hates burgers, so he just gets fries. For some reason, the second guy gets twice as many fries, despite paying the same, and getting the same type of fries. Should the person not get same amount of fries because he also likes burgers? Should a person have to forgo a burger if he wants to have the same amount of fries.
No, because the second kid isn't getting the benefit of the burger, is he?
Dad: "Hey Tim, Mark, you both want burger and fries? No Mark you don't like burgers? Double fries then?"
Tim: "NO! Or I want double fries too!"
Dad: "Ok Tim, you can have double fries as well. That's two double fries"
Tim: "NO! I still want the burger and double fries!"
Dad: "Why?"
Tim: "Because Mark is getting them and I don't want him to!"
Dad: "But you're getting a burger and Mark doesn't like..."
Tim: "AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"
Unfortunately I'm not locked into a choice so i never have to live with the consequences of my decision. I'll choose 20 $ when I need money, and 5$ when I want to talk to people.

Tim: can I have double fries too? I love fries.
Dad: That sounds fair, I'll just get you.....
Mark: No!!! Fries are my thing, tim has his burger.
Dad: You can have a burger too.
Mark: No I don't want a burger.
Tim: Well then, why can't I have double fries?
Mark: look, fries are my things, you have your burger, eat your burger and stop asking for more fries.
Tim: You can have a burger too, the burger doesnt matter.
Mark: Of course it does. You have a burger and I don't.
Dad: you want a burger? I'll get you one.
Mark: I don't want a burger, I just want double fries.........and for tim to not have as many fries as me.

They do it because they have to in order to compete.
So your saying that the Solo and Group crowd should be forced to open to compete, yes.
I view the whole situation where the crows are trying to peck at your food, and on the other side, you have your friends trying to touch your food and no crows and then you have another side where everyone is trying to touch the food, Crows and People alike. Stop touching the man's food, I don't know where yo hands were.
But Tim can have double fries. Tim just can't have double fries and a burger. You can't just give kids everything they want, or they end up fat. It seems to me Tim wants to have everything Mark wants, but Tim wants to also have his own special thing that Mark is forgoing. Even if Tims special thing is just the same as what Mark has, only more of the same, he doesn't want Mark to have one tiny bit more. Even if it costs more and Tim takes disproportionately more resources than Mark from their dad.
Tim is rather spoilt, no?
It's not tims own special thing, mark has the option too, he just doesn't like burgers. He chooses not to get a burger and then complains if tim gets the same amount of fries. That's like having your cake and not eating it, then complaining because you didn't get any cake.
To keep torturing this metaphor, the fries and burger should be two separate choices, the amount of one should not prevent the other.
Tim may be greedy to ask for both a burger and double fries, but mark is worse for adamantly defending agaisnt something that shouldn't matter to him in the slightest. He'll still have his double fries, and choice of a burger.
Are we talking about the same thing here? Don't worry mate, I'm not going anywhere. We will be entertaining each other here for quite a bit. I'm clearly not the forum warrior you are, but I'll get my message across, you can count on that.
Your nothing special, your just another player, just like me. Oh by the way I was a card carrying member of the Goons for about 6 years, so I have a pretty good idea who you are. Just FYI.![]()

No, Mark isn't complaining at anything. Tims the one throwing a tantrum because Mark had more fries, even though Tim had a burger. Mark is happy with the way things are now.
I should also point out that this family need more fruit and veg, so go play Grand Theft Auto for a bit.

I feel bad for the people who always want to talk to others, now they have to lock themselves away to make money. And the people who hate talking to others just get free money, they get what they want and don't sacrifice anything. Still doesn't seem balanced to me.
