Ah, they do care. Because the reason they're playing ED is because something is lacking in WoW or EvE or any other game you pick.
If everything was fine, they wouldn't even be here.
The very reason people play DIFFERENT games is because they're DIFFERENT and offer DIFFERENT choices. I didn't buy ED as an EvE or WoW replacement itself, I bought it to play something DIFFERENT.
But damn if I'm wasting $60 to have some bozo tell me -- "sit in your corner and shut up and play this game MY WAY" (meanwhile, talking about gimping solo mode!).

I've never played any of those games you listed. The last game I played "competitively" was quake.
Any way I always assumed "on topic" was when you brought a chocolate bar and used it on your partner but that might be going a bit far for this forum . . .

The majority of the thread is rubbish imo. I only came here to talk about community goals due to my direct experiences with them. I assumed that if I had started a new thread about it it would have ended up in here anyway

I remember... and i even made the proposal to make different goals for solo and open
Sadly i had to retract it later because of the lack of people wanting a compromise. No will to negotiate -> extremist positions
