The Star Citizen Thread v9

Common sense and the ability to tie your own shoelaces unaided is assumed when choosing to remove the helmet of course..

This is Star Citizen backers we're talking about...

Bug reports suggest that this was still an issue in 3.3.0:

And fun stuff like 'Missiles stay attached to F7C after being fired, causing ship to shake until missile burns out'

Haven't seen any fixes mentioned in the notes since. Seems reasonable to assume they're still pretty buggy.

Do a test for us vapid! :D

Glorious.

Glorious.

There is MOAR gameplay and fidelity in that .gif than there are in many AAAAA^A^A games.

That carefully coded munition is not wasting time, momentum or propellant dealing with the ship - it's specifically and precisely targeting the special Cargo Mission Comfort Cube that two Commando's are currently playing football with in the recreation zone of their Immersion Chariot.

You just don't understand space missile physic!

This will be nice:

"Interaction mode now has a quick select option. Pressing "F" quickly will activate the default interaction option of the hightlighted objected."

Now that is highly welcome. Its annoyed me no end having to focus, hold, etc.

However, i can see more accidents possible when accidentally clicking exit on a ship when you don't mean to.

I cannot wait for them to add the focus option for Ladders so that they are not the vacuuming black hole that sucks people to it regardless if one wants to use one or not...

- Focus on Ladder "F"
- Select "UP" or "DOWN" or "Climb Off"

Nice to see CiG pushing those patches through the evocati and onto the PTU fairly quickly these days. I'm hoping to actually see my Freelancer max in the flesh instead of the bog standard Freelancer with the buggy physics.... assuming the ship updates come through to the PU as well as the bug fixes and add ons to Hurston.

Great missions today. Meet up with 1 seasoned player and a newby. Formed a group and went off to conduct missing crew investigations. We got jumped by pirates while all 3 of us were out of the ship. We all heard lasers and were like “what is that”. One look at the awesome 600i and we saw the shields getting shot up. Back to the ship we went and learned to keep one member on board. We did two missions, and a couple fighting missions. Then we formed up a group of about 15 total to go planet side, but, I had to sign out.

We we encountered a few bugs, for instance when were identifying bodies, we also collected cargo. We stacked cargo on the front elevator and it didn’t like it. So started getting glitchy. But, if we carried one package up at a time, no issues. But, stacking it and leaving it on the elevator going up and down freaked it out. However, dropping the ramp and putting cargo on it did cause a glitch, even when raising it.

Using the elevator means means no one can steal your ship, but using the ramp the ship is able to be stolen.

Did some cargo runs, got my money up to 42k units now. Started at 5k. I have a three stop route that brings in about 3 units per cargo. I’m still only hauling less than 50% of my capacity. At capacity, I should make just over 12K per trip.

To understand money here. The M50 rents for 700K. The Hammer Head rents for 21M credits and cannot be properly utilized single player. As you cannot fire the laser turrets, only missiles.

So 1400 trips or so to rent another ship? :/

You want drama? Here's drama :D

Have only had a skim but it seems the whole 'promoting a competing engine' thing has been smooshed by Judge Gee on the info given.

Crytek get to submit more evidence etc, but it's looking bad for delicious discovery I'd guess ;)

Hell just froze over. They did common sense gameplay thing :D

Joke aside, it was obvious. Default action, add menu for multiple interactions.

Thread is getting boring. Far too much positivity around here.

Come on CIG, do something funny or outrageous! We know you want to!

Well, they did quite a lot of outrageous things lately, like still not having anything that resembles released game :D But at least alphas improve. Maybe Chris was asked to step aside and he finally listened.
