For the record while we're here, there's (at least) two starting systems on Xbox version, lhs 3447 is the 'trad' one, there's another one if you start the game with horizons off the bat (but don't recall what it's called).

I'm on PC.
Every now and again I go to the starter systems to see if anyone wants advice or some commodities. I can never remember where they are.

Dear God, I had to go to Hutton Orbital last night while doing a passenger mission in my Dolphin. It took me an hour and 45 minutes to get there from the beacon. Im never going there again! LOL!!![haha]

Lol, I never thought of that. I played mobile strike on my phone while on the way though. The long trips aren't just for me.

I started playing just over a week ago and my initial location was bakers prospect. I think it was in Assellus primus...or at least one of its neighbouring stars.

I started out in Asellus Primus at Bakers Prospect i believe its called.

If you start a new cmdr you get a choice of reg starting pack or horizons pack. The difference being the horizons pack has an srv already fitted & starts in that other system. If you choose the reg pack, you still start at lhs 3447.

I think Horizon players start off in the Asellus Primus system. I started out at Asellus 2 (Baker's Prospect)

Necro....now we have a new starter area with new systems but I think players still start in either Asellus Primus or LHS 3447, at least as far as I can find out. I have fond memories of Baker's Propect, I visit it every now and then for the nostalgia feelings!
