Signs that North Korea prepares a new shooting of ballistic missile are detected with constancy since the test of Sunday announced on Monday the Ministry of Defence of the corée of the South

I still don't expect North Korea to be suicidal. Problem is that they are dealing with a demented old reality TV star as POTUS.

Now I can only assume this is the next thread closed by trolling. It's sad to see such simple tactics working again and again.

I honestly don't understand why trolleys can come back infinite times, instead when it becomes oblivious they don't change just becoming more subtle removed once for all?

To participate in the forum, is non obligatory, they are not paid for it unlike for the game, and if they are way too disruptive? Cool down time? Uh oh? That's just a polite way to end it instead deal with the real issues. There is no point of it, even to try because in the minute we open a new topic they continue where it's ended.

When dictatorships fall, they all get suicidal.
There is no "peaceful transfer of power" in a dictatorship. Power has to be secured with *all* means.

Sure, but they don't actively court their doom. Firing missiles at US assets would be suicidal for no gain.

South Korea considers that North Korea has succeeded to miniaturize the nuclear weapon so as to equip an intercontinental missile, announced on Monday South Korean Minister of Defence.

Fat Kim is no fool, he`s lived and studied in the west and learnt from its foreign policy. The US and the British have no moral right to dictate to anyone, they have been taking a dump, metaphorically speaking, in other peoples back gardens for decades in relation to the US, and for centuries on the Brits part. Their combined brainless and chaotic foreign policy has made the world an infinitely more dangerous place in recent times, and suddenly we are now to think fat Kim is the biggest threat to world peace, when the dynamic duo have been fkg it up for decades. Give us a break, after watching how Gaddafi got literally shafted and the CF that was the Middle East after the intervention of the terrible twins, I`d be advising sumo Kim to hold on to his nukes as well.

Honestly, me too. I also don't think he's going to do anything suicidally stupid with them. Firing that missile over Japan was an odd move however. Usually the idea is to use such things to get concessions in negotiations, but I don't know what the idea is this time.

I respectfully disagree. Kim -Un is well known for being quite dangerously unstable and prone to some extremely aggressive behaviour. He is impulsive and lacks anyone to keep him in check - he has anyone, even family members, executed if they don't go along with what he says. This is a man who had his half-brother assassinated and his uncle and cousins killed.

The British are not involved in this and won't be. The carrier they bought has no planes and they can't project any power to the region. Britain have also severely weakened themselves politically since the Brexit referendum. As I'm sure the German forum denizens could tell you, last nights Merkel-Schulz debate was very revealing on the matter. They talked of Poland, Hungary, Turkey, North Korea, Trump, Qatar.... Brexit not mentioned once.

His idea is very simple, the survival of him and his clique. The same as every other political dynasty. He wants the end of the US`s one Korea policy and the status quo cemented in place. He also knows the obvious, with nukes in his back pocket, he won`t go the same way as Saddam, Gaddafi or the latest CF Syria. A man that can`t learn from history is doomed to become a victim of it.

But antagonising Japan doesn't help with this.

A lot of the Asians haven`t forgot the cruelty of Japan, even to this day the Japanese look down on other Asian`s as inferior. They`ll often treat them poorly in places such as Thailand and the like, while not saying boo to the Europeans. It plays well with the domestic audience and support to basically give the finger to the Japanese.

Lets get real here, fat Kim did not invent political assassination. The British, US and Israelis et al. have all been enthusiastic proponents of the tactic. They were just were more low key and careful about it, but a kill is a kill, be it from an antiaircraft gun, a poison cigar, or a neat hole from a .22 to the base of the head.

The Brits are just doing what they always do, and that is to tuck in behind the skirt of the Yanks while outsourcing their foreign policy and decision making to the White house. My point re the ME and Gaddafi etc speaks for itself.
Regarding Brexit, if you listed to Adam Bolton earlier, a German journalist just told him straight up, when he asked about Brexit not been mentioned, that the Germans feel its done and dusted. They are not interested anymore, she said they think the British are a "farce", her words not mine and that they are incompetent. Basically her message was get the F on with it and pee off, we have other more important things to worry about than some clueless individuals on an small island off the west coast of Europe. I could hear Bolton gasping for air, she was quiet straight forward in her comments.

No but we're talking about the instability or not of Kim, not who is bad and who isn't.

For Kim terror is an asset, there is a certain logic to his actions in order to make himself stronger abroad. You think if he was a nice guy he`d be still alive.

If we concede that both the US and the NoKo regimes understand how bad war would be, the calculus changes for us observers.

KJU can do anything he wants, short of igniting war, which improves his domestic political strength. In the rest of the world, much noisy shaking of saber scabbards is the response. But both parties draw the line at open hostilities.

At this point, it would be surprising if anything escalates on purpose.

So what we would look out for, is a deadly miscalculation/misunderstanding or overreaction. To our disadvantage, the players are not really stable, but they aren't operating in a vacuum. They do have moderating militaries.
