We have been the baddies since before everyone found out Space Hitler Salvation willfully sacrificed humans to trick everyone else into killing the Thargoids, but definitely were after finding that out and continuing to murder death kill them.

Former President Hudson was right when he said we needed more surveillance... so many Thargoid Lovers about. They need to be rounded up and tossed in a nice cold cell. Like those Far God nutters.

We must make the same Decision Jameson once did... and make the choice he did.. He launched the missle to take out the Thargoids.
An invasion of all Thargoid spaces followed by complete Eradication is the only way..

I wouldn't call him an infiltrator. He was a mad scientist that thought he had a solution and managed to convince those backing his idea that it was a GREAT idea and that, with him in control of everything, nothing could go wrong.

And now his machine is still turned on and has an unlimited power source (so far as we know).*


*Good story-line would be some of the elements are becoming corrupted to the point where if there isn't a concerted effort to shut it down, it could rip the very fabric of time-space to shreds, destroying the Universe. Hey, it would be the first time the Human Race has messed with stuff we know nothing about, right?

Well it would be a great lead in if FDev wanted to do a reset.

I had friends who were into Star Trek role playing (FASA et al) so I suggested the following idea.
Star Trek the Animated Series used plot and characters from Larry Niven's Known Space books in an episode therefore it is alright to use stuff from Known Space in a Trek scenario.
So why not let them find out that the core explosion has happening and a chain reaction of supernovae are sending a massive wave of radiation that will at the least wipe out all life in its path.

It never got used as a game plot. :(

No, Salvation is Caleb Wycherley, the same dude who created the Mycoid bioweapon; there is a reason I keep referring to him as Space Hitler. I also have vague recollection of there being mention that put Thargoid-summoning tech places to lure them to attack and prompt the superpowers into making counter-moves, so... directly responsible for millions of human deaths, even before the war kicked off.

I'm pretty sure the post you're responding to was sarcastic in nature.

... and I'm also not sure the OP realizes Starship Troopers was originally intended to be heavy satire (so far as I understand) and has just been twisted into being perceived as a serious call/message over time. Or if they do the acting in this thread is a little over the top and not very tasteful RP (but that is just my opinion).
