Hi Cmdrs

After 2500+ hours playing Elite, after reach the triple Elite, 9b in credits, all eng unlocked, all ships and so on its time to say goodbye.

I m very sad of course but maybe we can play together in the future… Im a Brazilian gamer, its hard to get a decent PC here ( taxes ). Recently I bought the Series X so I cant buy anything for the next months. I believed Elite Odyssey would really be released at least for the new consoles…

Well, what I can say….Elite is my favorite game, I have so many good memories, it may sound stupid but Elite helped me a lot. I've had a hard time the last few years and playing Elite made me disconnect a little from the world. I know many will say: it's just a game. Yes, I know... But it has been very important to me in recent years.

I left my mark on Elite, countless planets discovered, many community goals completed, many friends…

Yep, Im very sad but I know Frontier needed to make this hard decision to keep the things running.

Im not angry with Braben or Frontier..Im sad..Thats all…Sometimes things don't go as we planned.

Hope we can play together in the future….

I was upset with the game after Odyssey and stopped playing for a bit, then decided that Horizon’s was still the game I loved.
I now still play in Horizons because honestly Odyssey still has problems.

Remember the game that you put so many hours in is still there, Carriers should function as usual and CG’s will still be going on in Horizons I would think.

I play on PC and personally don’t miss Odyssey, Horizon’s is the game I fell in love with.

And now we have everyone expressing their displeasure at others expressing their displeasure about departure threads that don't really need to be posted but are posted because people feel an attachment to the game that they've become so attached to that they want to express their displeasure with how the game is doomed and that all this will do is create more of a sense of doom that will probably doom this thread to being locked because it'll run way past where it should have stopped because I can't.... oh, wait, never mind, I found where I put the period key.

For what it's worth, you should still be able to play Horizons for a while yet, including critical updates, why stop now if you enjoy it?
