Wondering why you don't see many players?, its not because there aren't any out there, but if we make an assumption that 1 million people have bought the game and play 24 hours a day, with 300 Billions stars out there, how often do you expect to see somebody?!

Dumb. This assumes that they would be distributed evenly across 300 Billion systems when the vast majority are within inhabited space which is *much* smaller.

ED isnt the instant action game your looking for.... Move along!

Seriously tho, ED is not star conflict or Freelancer.

It's not designed for instant action or a single player story driven game. It's an open world sandbox simulation game.
It demands your time and it takes time to do anything, it should say that on the box!
Just because you have a very specific idea of what Elite Dangerous should be doesn't mean everyone should think the same. There is no rule saying that an open world sandbox game can't have the things op talked about. And talking about what the game is or isn't is completely irrelevant to what is good for the game or not. I don't care if it's a simulation, a story driven game or a freaking platformer. If a feature makes the game more fun to play, then it's a good feature, no matter what label you put on the game.

True, it can be boring, very boring, but when it gets to that point, its time to take a break.
The same can be said with literally every game ever. But the thing is, taking a break doesn't magically make problems go away.

Seriously people, defending the game against haters is one thing, but shooting down constructive criticism is downright stupid.

Wow, this game is sooo boring that you've actually played so much you've made it to elite in exploration. Also it's soooo boring that you regularly post on their forums, so much so that you've ranked to Dangerous. I'll tell you about games that I find boring, I have several in my library, and they all all have less than 5 hours played, and I never post on their forums. Why do you continually play a game that you don't like? is this the only game you own or something, because I don't spend much time on things I find boring, usually just move on to something else. I suspect in fact you don't hate this game nearly as much as you say you do, you just like complaining and whining when things aren't exactly what you want them to be.

Soooo what you are saying is that when you play a game for more than 5 hours you're not allowed to criticize it? You know that it's possible to both love a game and think it could be improved, right?

Thread had been dead for weeks and as soon as it starts up again people start having a go at each other.

Think its time for a lock.
