The two games I play have dropped off the top 100 on Steam

E D had about 6000 players in steam counts at some time X. Now it is under 3700 (last game on the TOP 100 now).

That means E D lost at least 39% of its players with respect to time X assuming that steam players behave the same as players not using steam.

Jurassic World Evolution has currently 30371 steam players which is about 3 times more than E D ever had.

What does this mean?

If I were FDEV I would concentrate on JWE ;-)

JWE
Is it out now ?
If so, anyone played it ?

Only thing I know how to use on steam, is my library page. :O

Ok, OK, I'll do it: "Which games are they?"

Well, this game here I still play despite everything. And Crossout. Crossout is simply way superior to WOT, and is the spiritual successor to Robocraft. I believe that Russian devs are very good with weapon feel and mechanics, perhaps because they all do military service and have first-hand experience of real weapons of war.

Actually, I tell a lie, there is a third game I started playing after a friend recommended it. Unreal Tournament is back! But it's off Steam and only available from Epic's own platform.

Only thing is, there doesn't seem to be a Last Man Standing game mode anymore. Dunno why that is...:S

JWE will decay much faster than ED. In other words. JWE is a sprint, ED is a marathon - over time, ED's return on investment should be quite good. With patches players return and I think most ED players are also ready for a fully priced extension.
