Let me start by saying, wow. I was having trouble with my rift. Things were just too blurry. Couldn't read any of the screens, and the galaxy map was unusable. So I ended up retiring my OR and would only use it when I bought a new ship to check out the interior. So I bought a type 6 right after the most recent patch and reloaded Elitedangerous to check out my new ship using the rift. And boy, was I in for a surprise.

I'm not sure what happened but every thing changed. It was like the first time I tried the rift in 'From Ashes'. I could read all my screens and displays without even having to lean in to inspect them. I was laughing in amazement as I looked around the cockpit. And what a great ship for that to happen in. When I left the station, and put reverse thruster's on to look and actually see them in action, amazing. And the interior is so big in comparison to the viper. Up till this point I've had an sidewinder, eagle, cobra then I back tracked to the viper which I use as my main source of income. Bounty hunting.

And I have to say the few moments I spent in the type 6 last night has renewed my passion for ED. Not that it was faltering mind you lol.

So far I bounty hunt that is it. I tried my luck at mining, pirating and trading. But I always ran back to my viper for bounty hunting. But right now, at this moment. All I want to do is go home, slap on my rift, hop into my type 6, and get some serious trading done!

Lol, well thanks for reading guys. I just wanted to share that with yall. I better get out of the bath room and get back to work!

Yeah the Type-9 in a Rift is a sight to behold. You can really understand the 3 story cockpit when viewed from inside the rift. :)

I had the type 6 and almost fell out of my chair landing at an outpost. You could actually see the marred surface and the first time I did it, my fear of heights kicked in. It never really got easier landing in that thing. Much more comfortable in my Python or Asp (when I had it) As little a time as I had the type 9 and Anaconda, I never had time to use the DK2. I do so love my Python. I am thinking of getting an orca just to see what the cockpit view is like.

I'm still a loooooong way from the Type 9, but I'm absolutely loving the Type 6 cockpit.

I'm wondering if the Type 7 looks similar to the Type 6 one, it's kinda hard to guess the relative size without the Rift.

Exactly the same for me, looking down when I landed at a outpost I was amazed at the detail on the pad.

Thanks, I have a ways to go laugh. I have earned about 40K so far just putzing around with puny little missions. Guess I need to go find where my Eagle is parked and get a little more serious. Have new computer a little more capable coming in 2 weeks so was not going to get too heavy until that arrived as set up all over again.

The type-6 is amazing with the Rift. I also love the Asp with it tho, its like you're sitting right above open space. I actually had to stop due to my fear of hights kicking in big time. Even more than with the Type-6.

Compared to the T6 the T7 has grown in width and an additional story above, the cockpit position and size is almost the same.
I'm waiting for the CV1 to buy... if I can control myself reading this. ^^
Hope all the €s I've saved for the OR + computer upgrades will be still convertible by then. Merkel's approach to necessitate the entire €-zone into austerity policy can only backfire. I didn't vote for her. -.-
