The T7 has been obsolete as a hauler in like forever, because the T9 exists. It fares well as a bulk passenger ship however. Those size 6 and 5 internals may not hold a grand total of cargo, but a lot of cabins.i wonder where this leaves the type 7 as it requires a large pad for only 16 tons more cargo than a python, really hope it dethrones the python as the medium hauler but then also the type 7 should get a size 7 cargo rack at least
There was no problem with the T7, and still isn't. At one point it was one of many ships that fitted a role due to it's price. Then one day credits became a total non-issue and it didn't make sense to not fly an Anaconda for everything, since anyone could get one in an hour or two.So this maybe their solution to the problem by creating a new ship to fill that role, but it really has to better than a Python for internals.
For me EDs design language was chunky and geometric- what I think the problem for me here is that the greebles generally don't say 'Lakon'. I can clearly see that in all lineages of ships- ZP has very distinct cues, so does Core, Gut too.I get what you mean, but I already had that feeling with the Chieftain range. Not that that's a bad thing. Insisting on keeping ships based on wedges and polygons is a strange choice. I think they should've stretched that envelope a bit more right at the start or stuck with it firmly. I think their ship shapes are probably more credible than the fanciful ones but people like the pretties.![]()
