The ultimate test of endurance and navigation

OEVAXY IG-Y DO system is considered the furthest one can travel by most of the Explorer cadre, using navigation skills beyond the call of duty is the only way getting there, not to mention using the skills of ship construction and the choosing the right ship.

Years have gone past since Beagle point lost its title as the furthest system one can travel. The test of endurance it is now OEVAXY IG-Y DO and the Commander to claim the title of being the first there was Commander FLECTOR.

Who else has followed the trail of Commander FLECTOR and myself and travelled to the twin star system on the edge of the galaxy?

One does wonder, in the age of the Fleet Carrier, if even further stars will be reached. 500Ly range from a single jump will negate some of the past 'impossibles'.
But, that said... that is one remote system!

Incorrect, EDSM is not accurate as many commanders do not use EDSM. The elite Dangerous map is gospel and inform us of who actually was first.

I made my voyage a few years ago so Commander Flector had to have visited 3+ years ago.

Nope we have checked map , no other system is beyond this one in distance.

Where is the start point. I suspect it's Sag A*.

Probably thinking about it, it is Sag A*

I think the ultimate test was done by Commander Erimus Kamzel when he got to Beagle Point first. I remember watching his videos his trips in times when routeplotting was way more difficult.

Commander Erimus Kamzel was first to beagle point, followed by 1000s in the same year in all types of ships. That is his fame.

I done the journey twice two Beagle and the system beyond Beagle Point I can safely say is the hardest journey one can commit oneself to, it is the ultimate test for all explorers. At the time only one ship could make it and that had to be stripped down to just the hull. It was test or die times, but the carrier is here now so that system in the future will be visited heavily over time.

This system is beyond beagle and on the edge of the galaxy and the fact Commander FLECTOR made it some years ago was in it self the greatest deed ever and Commander FLECTOR received little or no recognition for this, I expect he/she is to modest to fly the flags of fame in the face of overs.

Commander FLECTOR has gone the furthest than anyone else, First (and only a few 100 of us have followed him).

Beagle Point is not the furthest system you can go to, that claim is now history. OEVAXY IG-Y DO system is the furthest

Greetings!

According to both EDSM and ED Astrometrics, the most distant system from Sol is Oevasy SG-Y d0:

So, Oevaxy IG-Y d0 is about 20 LY behind Oevasy SG-Y d0 in terms of distance to Sol.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, EDSM can show inaccuracies regarding first discoveries. For example, there is a star system (Truetchio JX-L d7-0) that is credited to CMDR Allitnil on EDSM, but I was given the credit for first discovery in ED's Universal Cartographics. Likewise, there have been systems in which I was given the credit for first visit on EDSM, but were already discovered by someone else in Universal Cartographics.
