I don't know why, but FD simply DON'T WANT MY OR ANYONE ELSE MONEY. AT ALL. Did you see any company that don't want your money? FD?

From 12 paint jobs only 3 of them someone can buy. Oh wait did i say 12? Yes, i say 12. Because i already know what kind of paint jobs will be next. VIPER IV AND COBRA IV HELL YEA! We was dream about it! Isn't it? What? You whould think the next paintjob will be Federal Corvette and Conda? Oh you so naive! I LITERALY PREDICT the most useles, pointless ship that no one even will by any paintjob CHROME HAULER.

PREPARE your money for MK4 cobra and MK4 Viper! Ok that is a joke. Next one will be Conda wireframe 100%. Which is why i say 3 painjobs that someone whould actually buy.

Seriosly.. i never see sompany that DON'T WANT MONEY. ?

Just WORST MARKETING EVER. It is so worst that i even slightly annoyed about it! Isn't it already silly enouth?!

I don't think the point was you would buy them all. Players fly a wide range of ships and they are giving everyone the opportunity to by a paint job.

That's your opinion and you have a full right to express it. Did you think that some people actually enjoy flying small ships? Or the people that just start their Elite adventure? Just because YOU don't fly these ships doesn't mean they are useless.

Also, I'm pretty sure constructive and polite criticism would be much better received than an angry rant.

with marketing like this one i don't think FD have a bright future. This is simply bad for budget of this game. They don't want to make any money.

The OP has a point, and I understand his irritation, and we shouldn't rush to defend FD on this. Let's not pick on the OP because it's easy.

Since moving to US, I see so clearly that the British business mindset is almost embarassed to make money. The US mindset is full on overblown in the other direction ! A midway point would be sensible, I suppose.

But for FD to make a set of very drab offerings at Christmas is a kind of British self-deprecating humor which does them no good in the long term.

If you want to go chrome, offer alternatives, such as gold (brass? lol), silver, bronze, at the same time. Offer colored wireframes (FD ever thought of that?) Let people choose. The customer stays happy (or happier, at least) and the funds flow.

I am not sure exactly what the disjointed post by the OP is trying to say.
Especially in the complete and totally optional exercise of ship skins.

Ship he wants a Skin for does not have one? Or one he doesn't like are being sold?

If someone new buys the game- he can easily access skins.
