Theme Park Rides

I'm all for a few theme-park rides (including a minimal number of rollercoasters if there's room on the islands); there could be a game mechanic by where coasters need to purposely be built away from enclosures (noise pollution). A few thrill rides (twister, pirate ships, rotator swings) couldn't hurt, nor simple rides such as dodgems.

This is a park management game with a focus on dinosaurs, but there's no harm in accommodating a bit more. +1 on the river cruise and similar-such rides too.

Pirate Ships and Twister ... do you know any animal theme park/zoo with such nonsense beside small things in playground-sections for kids? And we have no kids on these islands. If you would be on these islands irl, would you take a ride with a normal roller coaster or would you watch the real attractions? I don´t think that anybody would pay a lot of money to travel on an tropical island and get into the most interesting theme park of the whole world for its famous roller coaster...

Beside that: it would be too much noise pollution and would attract too many american standard tourists :D
Dinosaurs are the stars and the attractions of this park!

Again: people who want to play planet coaster: do it! But not in JWE.

It's all about options.

If people wish to play the game and focus on Dinosaurs, they can. If people wish to add a few rides, they'd have the option to do so. I'm not asking, nor expecting anything half as involved as Planet Coaster, just a few entertainment attractions that aren't Dinosaurs. I get why some people don't want that - and that's fine, perfectly understandable, but the request is a valid one nonetheless. :)

Was it not Rollercoaster Tycoon that had a zoo-themed addition to the game?

That would just not be correct. First: Rollercoasters would make no sense in this game and it would look ridiculous. No kids = no "fun"-rides. Authentic theme park = no "fun"-rides. Authentic theme park = no disney world tourists.
Second (and more important): If there would be an option for such rides, you wouldn´t have an option to use them. You would have to because they would count into your star-ratings of the islands. Therefore you would have to have them to progress. No matter if you don´t want them because they are completely deplaced on those islands.

I think it needs to keep some separation from PlanCo otherwise it might as well be a skin. That said, while I wouldn't want as much of the in depth ride management and things (right tools for the right job etc) I would like to see a few further rides around the place. Especially want to be able to run a (more successful) dino safari though the enclosures for visitors. The more dangerous, the more thrilling (until somebody gets eaten and then everybody hates it.

A few very very basic things I'd certainly be down with, and the river cruise would be a good shout for sure. Maybe a couple of the set, squared smaller rides from the first RCT. Things like the viewing tower would be good I think if you had them in the middle of your enclosures
