Have some rep for having freaking balls my friend! I'm currently exploring and 1400 ly out there's no way in hell I'm fighting or doing anything like that on my way home. You are an utter mad man all that data onboard and you go in like some crazed Klingon on blood lust... I love it! I actually wanted you to get back in one piece half way through your story. You should be renamed to CMDR Madman or CMDR Big Balls.

They will tell stories of your escapades around camp fires wherever hardened space dogs gather to drink fermented vegetable products!

Well, I should be clear - I handed in my exploration data after getting home before I set off on the smuggling and bounty hunting... I'm not completely insane :) I just didn't want to lose the ship I'd just got my first earth-like discoveries in!

Yes, after two weeks with no combat practice, I got totally complacent :) My ship saved me.

Hah! I know. I attacked a wing of 8 Sidewinders trying to complete the same mission. Luckily, Three of Hearts is so fast, I was able to kill two of them before I took too much damage, and complete the mission! It wasn't as dangerous as attacking an Anaconda though, so hopefully my ship understands <_<;

Yes, I know... I'm using seeker missiles. I'm an idiot. I wanted to see if I could make them work :) And in the end, it kind of worked, since I did get the two kills I needed. But I'm going to switch back to a plasma accelerator and gimballed cannon I think. I don't think Three of Hearts can stop me being reckless ;-;

Enjoyed the tale, CMDR! I read it with interest as I walked into work at an unseemly early hour this morning...

This is what Elite is really all about: not some Power conquering the Galaxy, or even some faction dominating other factions. It's about a lowly pilot building up a relationship with his/her ship in the depths of unchartered space, forging it further in the heat of battle, and then surviving to tell the tale.

Long live Elite! :)
