There is poop in the water !!

Hi Frontier,

If for some reason, the poop of an animal goes into the water, it will never be cleaned up, and the animals will complain about it forever !
The only workaround is to remove the water, call the staff to clean the habitat, deal with all the bug regarding putting the water back when animals are in the habitat, then after dealing with your headache, you can finally put the water back.

This is not really sustainable in a larger zoo. I can still do this for one habitat, but the purpose of having staff is that those tasks are automatic. Please, do something about that :)

Thank you! I thought I was going mad! My flamingo habitat was always dirty and I must have called 400 keeper visits, it would never get cleaned. Glad I am not going crazy.

I do hope that this coming fix also addresses poo that gets stuck in other places as well. So far, I've seen it get stuck under shelters and some of the bigger trees, like tamarind #2.

Its quite often below the stard shelters with a closed bottom indeed.

Thanks for menitoning the trees, that explains why i can't get above 80% in one of my habitats.

The water is annoying, for sure. Im also having animals pooping their shelters full. And, the poo falls under the shelter, the keeps cant clean it. You end up having to move the shelter. Would be nice if the animals wouldnt poop where they sleep..lol

I also noticed poop under a climbing structure. Keepers who came in to clean ignored it, maybe because they couldn't walk under it? When I disassembled it, the first keeper I called went straight to that poop and cleaned it and the Cleanliness level shot up.

Question, because I keep forgetting to check: is there a heat map we can use to check where keepers can walk/reach in a habitat? If not I definitely think there needs to be one
Would the traversable area for an animal in the enclosure work? I used it to find out why my keeper wasnt filling a food dish. Turned out a bush was blocking the allowable area. Which, there was plenty of room to go by, but the heat map showed that there was an area around the bush that couldnt be walked on by the animals. Moved the bush, and the keeper was filling the dish in no time.

There is no heatmap for staff walkable and not the animal heatmap doesn't really do it. The heat map is based on the AI entities "Nav Mesh" which is built unique to each animal based on characteristics such as bounding box, max slop, max step height, climbing, etc. So unless you have an animal that is a close analogue to your staff then the heat map will not be correct.

I've asked for a staff navmesh heatmap since beta because it would be really useful.

I know there isnt a heat map for staff. But, either I got lucky, or it works just as good for staff. If the blue area is large enough for the animal to get through, it should be large enough for the staff. Knowing, of course, blue areas up rocks, and tree, are not going to be accessible for staff.

But your staff can't get under the same things as animals unless your animal stands as tall.

The staff wont go under anything anyway. That should be known. Thats why poop under shelters are causing problems, and in water.
But, if you have a fairly open area, and it seems like a keeper wont go to. Look at the heat map for the animals. It could be a bush, a rock, or tree keeping them from being able to get there. The animal may be able to get there, because it can swim, or something. Im just talking about flat areas that should be reachable to staff. If its white on the map, means the staff cant walk there either.
