these are way to expensive now

i wanted to buy the vintage space suit but 25,500 arx is way to expensive and not too far off from the price i bought the type 8 for. The suits are as much as a ship, that makes no sense to me, its messed up. I very much wanted to buy the Vintage suit pack but now the only thing ill ever buy is there new ships and thats all. Is any1 spending the price of a new ship for a new space suit?

Type 8/Python (Standard) - 16.5k arx

Rest of the pre built ships - 25.5k arx

VINTAGE INTREPID SUIT PACK - 25.5k arx

Sadly, I won't be buying any more, ever. Had 16800 saved up before the great devaluation. So later bought the T-8 as this was the only reasonably priced item remaining. And that's that now... unless big sale...
... wow just looked up how much money it would cost to purchase a suit pack. £13....... yeah, no.

It does seem somewhat weird pricing - the game itself plus Odyssey is regularly on sale for the equivalent of about 14,000 ARX, so who is paying almost twice that for a single cosmetic, or a dubiously-useful starter ship?

On the other hand, it's been four months since the price change, and it hasn't been hastily rethought, so presumably tripling the prices cut sales by less than two thirds, and they came out ahead overall.

I just hope they have been counting the purchase of ARX not the sales of cosmetics because while I have bought things from the store since the price hike and removal of paints I have not bought ARX since long before the change.

Possibly they removed the cheaper paint jobs from the store as a backup plan. If the new pricing idea became a failure they can keep the items at the new pricing (can't lower the price without lots of customers asking for a credit on the diference) and reintroduce the other cheepo paint jobs at a much lower but "inbetween" price, making people kinda happy again.

The latest Ruby paint jobs are a good example of this. At 10,000 ARX each they're something like £6 I think. So here's the funny thing. Personally, if they'd been in the 4,000-5,000 range I'd probably have bought 3 or 4 of them (thereby spending more than 10,000) but as it is, I've bought none. Which would you rather have Frontier? 3x4000 or 0x10000?

Going to agree here, I saw the prices and had the same thought. I'd rather take a punt on the Starfield dlc rather than buy 4 of those paint jobs.

This is exactly how I feel.
I don't mind buying cosmetics to support the game, and a price increase was expected, however this has priced me out: I just don't feel these cosmetics being worth that many ARX.
I would have purchased 4 or 5 Ruby PJs or even more, over three accounts, had they been at the old level.
Now I will buy exactly 0.

The prices are so outrageous I don’t even want to spend my free arx on them! I’d sooner just save them in the off chance that prices decrease again or there’s a 75-90% off sale. If they don’t or there isn’t, c’est la vie 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I have no desire to support greedy companies scamming their customers with greedy prices and by raising said costs after customers purchased arx packs thereby devaluing what customers already spent money on.
