They have botched this update so bad that i wonder if it will end the game

Engineering display bugs on stored modules and the engineering interface (local or remote) seems to be a bit broken right now, but they will no doubt fix it.

How are they milking players exactly? You are not forced to buy cosmetics if you don't want to. The external store has been around for years now, but this way you can earn in game if you don't want to pay.

The new training section is very complex and thorough, they have put a lot of work in to it. A big problem for new players was the learning curve of the game putting them off playing further. It's a good thing that they addressed this before releasing new content for the game to attract more players.
 
The game may not be working but from watching todays earlier livestream it seems everything is working as intended.

and the hologram of the station in SC is no longer representative of the actual station's alignment when you drop out.

I'm staying completely calm but...hmm, not good. The high quality of ED (and yes i say that without sarcasm) is down to a myriad of awesome small details like this one, and the game simply cannot afford to lose them. Lets hope for a comprehensive fix for all these bugs soon.
 
I've only noticed one bug so far - screen tearing in the FSS, DSS and Camera Suite on Xbox One X, that wasn't present before the update.

But honestly everything that I'm hearing sounds very minor and I personally wouldn't expect FD to have tested some of this stuff.

I mean, seriously, it's a store update and adding a new tutorial. They probably tested those things to make sure they were working and didn't even consider that something completely unrelated like Starport hologram orientation, or a visual indication of engineering status on stored modules would be affected at all.

These are normal post-patch bugs that will go away in the next couple of days, and I don't see how this is any different or worse than usual.

Also, come on, even with extensive testing, FD can't catch everything that goes wrong. Some stuff only manifests upon pushing to the live servers.
 
No? Earned 46 ARX now, seems CZs are quite lucrative.

Just done another low CZ (6-7 kills) since my last post and now I'm up to 63 ARX. The framerate is a bit stuttery but the basic gameplay (kill stuff, buy & sell stuff, discover new things) still works.

Perhaps it could be argued that profits from cosmetics will nosedive in one segment of the playerbase but that's about the worst I could really level at this patch from my experience so far tonight.

I also would like to know what FD screwed up this time. So far, by watching streams etc, I havn't seen anything bad going on. What am I missing, OP?

In fact, fact, the only modules I have that still have any engineering are the few legacy mods I hadn't gotten around to converting. And, fortunately, since both direct and remote engineering is broken, I can't convert them.

ok ngl that's pretty bad. I have some engineered high level modules in storage. still I can't bring myself to care what with all the super poopie
