Things I've done IRL because of ED

Hello CMDRs:

I was assessing my trip to the market the other day and realized a few things I do in ED are sneaking their way into real life.

While trying to park, I found myself leaning sideways as I subconsciously attempted to "roll" the car to try to fit into a tight space between two other cars.

Inside the store, I stared at what proved to be the last carton of low acid orange juice and imagined in my head a plotted route to the store at the edge of town, wondering if I could sell that there for a higher price. (I'm not sure the logic behind that thought, but it made sense at the time).

On the way home, some jerk cut me off and for a brief moment looked for the hard point deployment button. Not to attack him...just to let him know "I mean business." lol

Please please please tell me I'm not the only one that does that.

Right?

I've caught myself when pulling into the passing lane or maybe starting to accelerate when a light turns green to instinctively mash the boost button.

For E:DD I had spent 3yrs building a barn conversion which keeps the original beans into a raised open ceiling. It always reminds me of the Cobra's Hull as I lay in bed looking up in bed.

I used to watch all the Star Trek stuff and my upstairs living has an open balcony which reminded me of being in the Helm Deck.

When I once bought a steering wheel for some great car games and had upgraded my car to a 265bhp Super Hatchback I thought I could do all the things I do in game like handbrake turns. I calmed down!

Having played FFE and FSX I can't really say I feel like ED in terms of physicality in the real world. When I'm coasting my cutter in for a landing I'm reminded of landing a pmdg boeing in FSX.

That said, I've imagined about ED commodities while eating or buying groceries. And wondered about how much a credit was worth in dollars. I did an extrapolation as I'm sure some of us have done where I took a price of a water bottle and from there calculated a credit in terms of dollars , and found out that gold was back to 1970's levels so maybe a good thing with thousands of worlds, some went back to the gold standard. And practically every player pilot in the pilot's federation (those that already survived long enough to upgrade from the starting sidewinder) is already a rich multi-millionaire in the top 2% of all the trillions of people in the civilized bubble, lol.

When my garage door begins to open the sound reminds me of the docking pad mechanism. Then the script runs now and then, Engine engaged, landing gear retracted----then the thundering vroom ;)

One of my sites of remuneration is about an hour and a bit away, relating to one of the long MF jaunts (100Ls) I make to ensure things are good.
The IRL toll fee for that distance is kinda pricey but worth it, same goes for the advanced integrity fee esp on large ships for long cruises.

When I was a wee lad sitting in the back seat when being dragged along on those long boring trips with the parental units, I used a point on the dash as a gun sight---all traffic was ...despawned P

When I go to pick up my children at school, I always open the Cargo Scoop. That is, I unlock the passenger's doors.
