Things that aren't in the game that should be...

Firstly, as an avid F1 fan, can I just say how much I'm enjoying this!

1) During any session (particularly for qualifying) there is no way to see each drivers fastest lapimes on the leadboard. You have Interval and 'Last Laptime', but not the actual laptimes that put them in their position in the first place. So Alonso is 4th but what was his laptime that got him 4th? I have to go check lap history for that in the top right of the screen.
Quite the omission, this one.

2) When I'm in a Practice session, to do race run simulations, I want to be able to tell my drivers not to use DRS. Most times in races you might not be using DRS because you're not close enough. I want to simulate laptimes based on not using DRS so a 'Disable DRS' checkbox for each driver would be nice. Also cooler if AI did race simulations not using DRS too.

3) In Practice and Qualifying, we need an ability to tell our drivers to back off. Sometimes, our drivers get stuck behind a gaggle of cars and we're just stuck there with the only option being to pit them and re-release them in a gap in the traffic.
An option would be to tell the drivers to slow down, effectively creating a gap in front so when they are on their lap, they're not stuck behind the queue of cars.
More so in quali. You try and send your cars out with no traffic but sometimes you get caught up. Maybe you do a hotlap and want to stay out for a 2nd run, so on your cooldown lap you don't want to end up behind cars that will spoil your next run. So instead of just having your drivers stick close to the queue and not create space, we should be able to instruct them to do so.

4) I know this was asked for in F1 Manager 22, but can we please have an option to toggle the HUD/Overlay on or off? I know it's essential to be keeping an eye on it, but sometimes we just want screenshots, ya know? :) How hard can it be, :)

There's 1 or 2 more points but I don't remember now so I'll have to make another post when I do.

Apart from these niggles, as an F1 fan for all my life, I can say Frontier have nailed it with this. I have never played management games before (except a dabble in F1 Manager 22), but I'm REALLY enjoying this one. Races are stressful but exciting too.
Shameless plug: I've just done a complete F1 weekend on my Rusty Dog Unplugged YT channel. Released each video at the same time you'd expect a European race to be shown on TV. Spread it out over 3 days. Was awesome.
Great job FDev and thank you for the key!!

Agreed, it's a great game and they have done a great job, but you can't get but feel there's few essential things missing.
My only gripes so far:

1. Very little weather info after a red flag. 6mm of rain on restart so fit the wets (obviously). All others start on inters and the rain goes down to 2mm after 2 laps. That's really not cool that other teams can see the weather but you can't

2. Lots of on track action does not trigger a replay. Most recently 'multiple car crash' (both race and practice) did not trigger a replay. One time of which my driver (piastri practice) was in the accident himself.

3. No on track feedback with Piastri in practice (the setup is 5/5 but there's no feedback to whether it's bad/good/great/optimal until I pit (also the 'hows the setup' engineer speech doesn't trigger either)

4. Sometimes you have to 'reconfigure' multiple times before you can send the drivers out in practise and quali - this has cost me some runs

5. GIVING BACK TYRES needs to be better. Maybe having us select the tyres we give back at the end would help create jeopardy and be more intuitive as to how the rules work.

Always annoyed me that you cannot choose which set of tyres to send back and also if you let the team do the qualifying session rather than managing it yourself they waste all the new soft tyres you have

Even if you don't sim, I've had to do one lap with a tyre during raining sessions just so the game would take that one and not a tyre I was planning to use for the next session. I totally agree that we should be given the option of what tyres to give back.

Also 100% on board with DeMilo's first point. It cost me a race in last year's game and now I'm scared every time there is a red flag. While we are at it, I wish we had access to all the data during red flags. Would be nice to review lap times and look at other's tyre strategies up to that point.

Pretty much everything on this thread so far I'm down with. But those are my 2 big ones.
