Things you had completely forgotten were in the game

It's funny, orrery map was probably in the top 10 most requested features before 3.0, but now nobody really cares about it. I think it's due to the fact that it isn't nearly as cool (or functional) looking as the concept art.

The bindings for zooming in and out the range of the main sensor display

True, I only ever used that function once I got a HOTAS and had a spare axis to assign to something. I never changed the scale from logarithmic to linear, sensor zooming might make more sense in linear mode.

I use Orrery View all the time. It's a great help for exploration. As soon as you have three or more planets to map it tells you the best order to fly to them. Want to check out how close those tidally locked moons really are to each other? Orrery view will show you. Orientation and size of rings as well. Weird orbital planes can be easily identified. So I definitely care about.

It's a minimal viable orrery that doesnt even integrate with the other maps features.

Yeah, I use it for that as well. It's great for getting a sense of how close bodies actually are from one another and planning a route in-system that avoids gravity wells.

Absolutely this! I completely love the fact that there is an Orrery now. Yes, it could use some polish, but it is there and usable, and when exploring I make extensive use of it.
