Bought into ED as an Alpha Backer including the lifetime pass and other perks, spent loads of £'s in the shop on this commander..... all amounting to £100's spent....... THEN having thought it too expensive to buy a second account; I did buy a no-frills 2nd Elite Dangerous Horizons for just under £10 when on sale... this commander has had nowt spent on him or his ships until the advent of ARX..... my resistance failed.
I'm like you and need to stop exploring when I feel the need to do something ''more interesting'' and haven't regretted getting the 2nd slot for a moment. Go do it! But try to wait for a sale..... perhaps there will be one in January....but pretty sue FD will not transfer any assets from one account to another... it's been tried and declined before......o7
