This deadly Orange Sidewinder error is getting ridiculous...

Ever since the introduction of fleet carriers in this game, every time I come out from supercruise in a system crowded with fleet carriers, there has been bad lag. In my case, coming out and going into supercruise mode at Ray Gateway, Diaguandri. Even worse, it hangs for a couple of minutes before I lost connection to the game server. This is becoming unplayable and ridiculous. Frontier, please fix this problem ASAP. I can't play this game around my home station Ray Gateway

Yes, I get this issue too and it is incredibly frustrating. Also at Ray Gateway but in general anywhere with a lot of players / carriers, I'm not sure which is the actual problem.

I have tried that, also restarting my entire PC, but I still cannot exit super cruise at Ray Gateway. Also, upon re-logging in I often cannot enter super cruise either. I guess I have to pay to transport my ships somewhere else that I can actually get to. Thanks Orange Sidewinder.

I was at an engineer last night and needed to buy something from another station within the system. I was not able to enter supercruise after flying out from the engineer base as the game would lock-up in the supercruise tunnel and eventually exit with the Orange Sidewinder error. If, however, I instead jumped to a nearby system immediately after exiting the engineer base, I would have no issue with locking-up in the tunnel. I would then jump back into the system and head to the station that I needed to buy the item from.

I was reliably able to reproduce this. I noted that the engineer base had a CZ either overlapping it or right next to it but I have no idea if that was related.

We have 2 carriers in one of our systems. Got this twice in a row. Endless blue tunnel which eventually times out with an Orange Sidewinder.
Quit to the desktop, re-started the launcher, worked fine after that.

Yeah I can jump out of the system and then back in, but I still get the tunnel of doom and Orange Sidewinder disconnect when trying to disengage super cruise. Also, restarting everything, including my PC doesn't fix the issue.

similar issue. Was at Hera Tani's. Took forever to finally land. Kept crashing going into SC. Had to jump to another system then jump back and SC to the planet.

Yeah had same in VR going to any engineer - blue tunnel of death. Many relogins will get you out eventually.
Long hangup on entry to planet as well.
Always lots of FC's around engineers so was thinking mass disruption bug like when near large ships in nav points and such.

I'v not experienced this, mainly due to avoiding Systems in the bubble with multiple Carriers'

Only thing that I occassionaly get, like last thing yesterday.
I set a Carrier jump, somewhere a bork occurs, the Carrier jumps (without the timer animation sequence) but is also still in the System it jumped from. I leave the Carrier, can see it out of my cockpit, look in the Galaxy Map, it's 480LYs away. I return to the 'in-System' Carrier I can see, as soon as I touchdown on the pad BAMM! 'connection error' - the Carrier dumped me & is now 480LYs away & I have to fly to it myself.

Happening to me now when I am leaving the engineer Todd "The Blaster" base in system Wolf 397. It has fleet carriers parking at the planet but probably only about 20 of them, but this Orange Sidewinder still happened. Twice. I tried to go into supercruise mode, aiming at the Escape Vector, to leave the planet atmosphere, the game just hung there and error-ed out. When I logged back into the game, my ship was falling towards the planet surface about to crash, luckily I quickly pulled it up and avoided hitting the ground, with just 14m from the ground. Now I have to choose another star system where I have a direct line-of-sight from the Todd "The Blaster" base and high-wake jumped into it. Avoiding the Orange Sidewinder error.

Just a thought, have you tried loading the game without Horizons, after you've done your business at the base. That 'SHOULD' put you in orbit above the Planet.

Have not tried that method yet. Probably faster for me to pick a nearby star system within my direct lin-of-sight and high wake to that system, before I change route to my intended destination. Still a pain though.

That is what happens when you essentially give away end game content for free, they really should have kept the high costs. Most of the issues I am seeing are at LTD mining or buy systems. Have been exploring, and buying selling tritium for the carrier, not seen any issues, have also been to Diagundri a few times with the carrier.

These ships where never meant for every man and his dog, although I'm sure the shareholders are happy about the amount of arx being sold.

Am hoping a cross section of cmdrs eventually get bored. It's not the number of carriers that is the issue, it is all the transactions, all the miners reloging, everyone trying to sell LTD's for 1.6 at the same two ports. Crazy.

Thankfully everything works great for carrier owners outside of the bubble.

I'm also experiencing this problem in Eurybia. Engineer and many carriers present and I cannot get into supercruise or jump to another system. I've tried with and without Horizons but no difference

I know this might not help with your frustration, but it seems the sticking point is the normal space to supercruise transition.

So keep trying the high wake to another system, and try to bear with it. As I say though, I don't expect that is much but annoying. Sorry bud :(
