This game has loose any attractive

It was the best VR game when it add support for VR but after spend some hours this weekend the game is out for me. I have uninstall it.

- Fly trough any system is tedious. It has no sense. You spend hours and hours flying around any system where planets are about 10 minutes away in many cases.
Yeah space is big...
- Refuel is terrible, the speed of refueling is horrible.
Right, get a bigger fuel scoop? Buy fuel at a port?
- Missions ended stupidly when you aproach a hub and suddenly witthout any second to react you are hit down. Do not understand at all. No time to negotiate a bill or something, just hundreds of shots firing at you and you are end after four or five hours flying around to try to end an eternal mission.
You obviously did something wrong.
Horrible boring. The game has ended for me. It is a pity because I love the VR support but I cant suffer anymore the slowness of this game, and in VR a game must be minutes, not hours.
No, in VR a game can last as long as you want to game in VR. Short, half-[youknowwhat]ed "experiences" are what will kill VR. VR needs more full games like Elite.
Bye bye Elite. Let's try another things.

Have fun with games more your speed.

Curious. And I usually slow down SC to 25%, because I feel it's too damn fast.
Actually, this is weird, but flying a spaceship in a game like this is the reason I play. I even enjoy landings.

- Refuel is terrible, the speed of refueling is horrible.
I suspect he is not talking about station refuelling. That's also very specific thing that broke this game for him.

I also realised that there are many games that lost their appeal to me over the years, and I forgot to find their forums and let everyone know.
Damn it, they don't know!

I have to ask but in view of a post like the OP's, exactly what constructive comment do you feel anyone could have offered?

No comment maybe? That would likely have been better than snipes or whatever. Obviously this customer is not too happy and expressing their opinion/feelings. And if one doesn't agree then ignore it; if one has something helpful then please comment. But tis the Internet where anything goes! :)

Refueling is as fast as you want to make it in the game. When I fuel scoop it's just a sweep in and scoop as I enter the system. If it's any longer it's only because I have just hit a long run of non-scoopables but that's explorer issues only really. In the bubble doing missions refueling is as instant as you want to make it, just refuel at stations when turning you missions in, it's cheap enough. Refueling, unless you are doing it really badly, is not a game breaking issue by any means, but the OP didn't supply any details at all on these problems, he may be using the smallest fuel scoop in the game for all we know because that's all that was available at the station when he outfitted his ship, he may not even realise there are larger ones.

People get salty at these sorts of posts usually because of the tone set by the first post. if he had come here looking for help the situation and responses would have been completely different.

And then people complain because you ignore them. This is a forum, people are going to be people. Start your post in a reasonable tone the responses will follow in the same manner.

10 minutes? Good job you didn't go to Hutton Orbital for your free Anaconda...

Serious note the distances are to give you a sense of scale, that even at many times the speed of light without general relativity kicking in (due to space itself being warped not you moving) it would still take a considerable amount of time to even navigate a solar system. Today's real life space propulsion technology would take many years to traverse the distances your ship in this game travels in minutes.

Buy a better scoop.

Don't quite understand you here, did you do anything illegal?

People generally buy into VR for a bit of realism, and travelling is part of that realism with space games.

He could have asked for help. He could have tapped into the literally thousands of hours of game experience represented by the posters in here. He didn’t; he pronounced it all crap, whined about things that are either part of the package or have painfully simple solutions, and generally presented himself as a petulant child. Garbage in, garbage out.

Did you notice people disparaging his English skills? No? Because posters here generally won’t do that. There IS a minimum standard of behaviour, after all.

Oh look, another "I don't like flying the spaceship in a fly-the-spaceship game" thread.

I wonder if people ever actually look at anything more than youtube videos that have been edited before making a decision. Gonna guess no on that.

- Fly trough any system is tedious. It has no sense. You spend hours and hours flying around any system where planets are about 10 minutes away in many cases. Yes and no! if you're a trader or mission runner expect to do a lot of super cruising but you can easy look at systems to see how far away things are from the star. I personally think unless you're an explorer its easy to not do a lot of travelling.

- Refuel is terrible, the speed of refueling is horrible.
In what way? maybe you need an A rated scoop which in most ships will refuel in under 1 minute and in my experience is always quicker than flying to a station to refuel. Are you flying to close to the star and dropping out and taking damage? If you're only jumping and super cruising in the bubble you may not even need a scoop as you'll be visiting stations often.

- Missions ended stupidly when you aproach a hub and suddenly witthout any second to react you are hit down. Do not understand at all. Need more info. Sounds like you're having trouble with planet missions?

At the end of the day Elite is a space sim so perhaps commander its not a game you'll enjoy. If you post more info maybe we can suggest things and help you.

I didn't need to know this, but thanks for telling me anyway, I guess.

If anyone else is thinking of leaving, please just leave. I don't need to know.

Okay I'll bite, and I'll take this at face value and try to offer a helpful response:

- Fly trough any system is tedious. It has no sense. You spend hours and hours flying around any system where planets are about 10 minutes away in many cases.

There are a lot of systems in this game, many of which have planets and starports that are very far from the entry point, but just as many where the starport is practically on top of the main star. Learning which systems are optimal for quick missions is part of developing game knowledge - learning which systems to avoid if you don't have time etc... Rather helpfully now, the mission text tells you the distance to your destination port, but there are still ways you can get caught out. As others have said, space is big and one of the appeals of Elite for me is the 1:1 scale; to me it is fascinating the amount of time it takes to get places in this game at several times the speed of light. I guess it's not for everyone, but I personally don't hold the distances against the game at all.

- Refuel is terrible, the speed of refueling is horrible.

As others have said, it really sounds like you've got a lower class fuel scoop fitted. Generally speaking A-rated scoops in the largest class optional slot on any given ship scales very well with the size of the fuel tank, so the best thing to do is go fit the largest A-rated one you can and you'll find refuelling much faster.

- Missions ended stupidly when you aproach a hub and suddenly witthout any second to react you are hit down. Do not understand at all. No time to negotiate a bill or something, just hundreds of shots firing at you and you are end after four or five hours flying around to try to end an eternal mission.

This depends on the mission you've taken. To me it sounds like you've taken a kill mission that spawns a mission signal source in space, which can take a long time to spawn in the current build (hopefully fixed in the upcoming chapter 4 update with persistent signal sources). It also sounds like that mission got you Wanted and you got scanned on returning to the starport to hand it in, which got you fired upon and killed.

You need to keep in mind that any illegal missions will require some tactics on your part to avoid being scanned by the authorities. There are various methods:
- Be very fast into the docking bay
- Request docking very late
- Be allied with the controlling faction (they scan you less if they like you)
- Watch for a gap in the authority ship patrols around the starport
- Use silent running and heat sinks to prevent automatic targeting and make the authority ships have to come within 1km to be able to scan you.

Of course you can always check the mission text and make sure not to take any illegal missions.

This one I'm not going to entertain. Games take differing amounts of time and you either need to accept that or not. Sounds like not - hope you find a game that you enjoy and gives you the hit you're looking for.

try CQC.... it has all the good stuff of elite VR but has high octane action..... for me it isnt elite, but it is a nice little addon on the side.

fueling being slow is down to your build and your ship, long supercruise times is going to be cut radically in 3.3 for many cases and as for being shot down... i cant comment without more info.. were you wanted / doing something naughty and you let yourself get scanned? was it another player? did you do friendly fire by mistake?
