This game... wow ... just ... <3

Excellent picture...where was it taken?

I am 2k ly away, and just last night I found an earth like world....I approached it from the front, and then went around it just to check if there was any lights...because you know what would that mean, right?....I was soo excited, but then found none...I imagine the day I come accross a planet with lights in the dark...far from Sol.....I'd pee on myself!!

Beautiful pic and nice OP. Thanks for sharing!
LOL, I keep checking for that myself. :D

Thanks :)
This is Hanggardi 1 ( system: Hanggardi ); docked at the station there atm.

Definitely have to agree with you, OP! This is the game I've spent the most money on in my entire life (100 euros for the record, beta+season pass) and I have yet to regret it. I know it has an infinite lifetime and I have yet to be dissapointed. I simply love the fact that it can just make me stop and admire my screen for a while!

but imagine once planetary landings are out how cool it will be to actually fly down to the planet.
They're gonna have their hands full matching procedural cities in scale to those light sources.
If they can do it: hats off
(Well, one could probably break it down with domed arcologies...where each dome is an enclosed quarter/instance - like on space stations. And when you land all you see is a bunch of lighted domes like the algorithm that is in place for the planetary rings. The closer ones are objects, then a 'misty' section and then a texture bitmap further off. Hmm...the more I think about it the more doable this actually seems)

There's quite a few. Check population numbers. I came accross a system with several billion inhabitants and the dark side of the planet was almost solid lights. Looked amazing.

That image is right purty all right.

I wonder if asking for an external camera on the ships is worth it? We always see the canopy bars on the hero shots and I would just like to see the brilliant images without the extras.
