The lesson for me today is to always read the patch notes. I spent a couple of hours on my alt account looking for microweave hoses to take to Farseer to dirty drive up the new Asp. Imagine my surprise to discover after finally making it there that they were no longer needed. Pleasant and irritated. Such an interesting simultaneous feeling.

On a side note I've seen the increased mission payouts mainly from factions I'm allied to. It's been nice, but I'm still in rank grind hell. I wish that was tweaked in a beneficial direction.

I think your being too harsh on yourself - I read the patch notes a few times and unless I have trouble reading could not find a clear reference to materials no longer being needed, there is a 'VERY POSITIVE' forum to cover it here :- https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...en-removed-from-Engineer-blueprints-in-2-2-03

I am too looking forward to taking much greater advantage of the engineering without storage hassle.

Where are all the "I quit!" threads? The dreaded "Open letters to FD" or "This game suxx and this is why" threads, "This is OP", "This should be nerfed", etc, etc.

I expected the board here to be polluted with them after the latest patch. Have to say I am pleasantly surprised. Or is it too soon? All seems fine to me...so far.

Well, the current patch is mostly combat orientated and the happy pew-pew crowd is only a minority group in E: D, so why should the rest give a damn?

Not unreasonable to assume some of us just read the comments now, which is better than being told to literally sod off by the white knights. Actually trying to get a point across is more stressful than anything else so I gave up trying and just read with an occasional salty comment here and there. Just reading through is about all the interest one can muster, sorry...but Im past the anger and denial stages.

Probably because everyone who would normally complain is feeling clever because 'they' got buffed. Meanwhile, FD bottled it on the actual nerfing of things which dearly needed it.

My shields to 2 cmdrs got nerfed a little bit...little bit. I relied on PP assassins being aggressive to earn merits, now they scan me and leave. First of all that makes no sense and secondly I have to make up for their beta maleness.

Quite agree - and forums aside some of the better know YT accounts are just so pro FD for all they do, clearly they do not want to ruffle any feathers - but sometimes its a little sickly.

I quite get in all walks of life it is better to come from issues with a positive attitude, but when an element of the game is bad and does not work - and keeps getting ignored it should be addressed (of course as long as it does not upset my mates at FD!!).

Yup, sometimes complaints are invalid, other times not, although this is subjective I think the devs are grown up enough to figure out which is which, retain their artistic vision and freedom and generally keep people happy at the same time. They really don't need forum white knights chasing people off and filtering their feedback. I swear sometimes this forum protects them as if they are babies.

A mate said a couple of hours back Steam showed 10,000 online, that's without even taking account of players like me who haven't bothered to link the game to Steam.

One of my accounts is on Steam, but I never start it through Steam and boot direct from the launcher. I doubt my game time shows, or even presence, up on the Steam charts and I know I'm not alone.

This unfortunately is all too true. Some of the inflammatory and quite frankly insulting posts coming from the posters are completely devoid of objective criticism.
