Thoroughly good pirate experience

For the python thats acceptable but for an Asp that could be 40-50% of their cargo! Presumably in a wing you would ask for more.....No wonder you get an angry/kamikaze/log out response!

For the Python it would be 50. 20-30 for the Asp.

1. It's not 50% of the Asps cargo it's 20-25% ish unless you bring a class 6 shield. 2. Really? It's not like they aren't going to make their losses back in 5 minutes or anything. 3. I would take that same amount from the Asp either way.

If I stumbeled upon a ship with only 2 tons of cargo and I take 1 that means I took 50% and yet it ain't the biggest loss in the verse not even for a Sidewinder. The 50 tons from the Python ain't that far of in percentages if I were to take 20 from the Asp.

If trading wasn't so profitable you might've had a point but that ain't the case.

I was in a conda with 324 cargo. These guys were happy to settle for 50t. I gave them 100t just because of there manner. Great time had by all I hope. I don't mind if I see them again for a bit more cat and mouse. Maybe next time I will get away. If not then I will happily hand cargo over again. It brings a bit of life into trading.

My Asp has only 64t cargo so it would be a high %. If carrying a high value item like gold then your take would make the trip a loss even in a Python. So its no wonder you get a negative response and are scraping a living.

Even if it made a slight loss it would still be a VERY minor setback. Well yea it might be a high percentage but that sounds more like it's on you, like if you choose to fly without shields or what have you. Even if it is a high percentage 20-30 is still 20-30 tons. It might seem like a lot if that's half your cargo but it is 20-30 tons not more not less.

I'm scraping a living mainly because of the logging, that's the reason as to why the demands are so ''high''.

I've never been pirated and im not how I'd react! If they were cordial, I guess I wouldn't mind letting go of a percentage of my cargo, but also because my Anaconda fitted for trade wouldn't last long in a fight. Would rather lose 1-2 million in cargo than a 10+ mil rebuy. All depends on what the pirate's ship of choice is, I suppose. I wonder what other features they could add to make pirating more viable.

This has effectively turned me off proper piracy. The amount of trader's who DO log sadly massively outnumber the ones that don't. It's a shame because a good pirate (an oxymoron, surely?) Can add to your game experience.

This. So much this. My attitude has gone from: "Let's strike a deal!" To: "Okay, drop his shields as fast I can and hatch breaker him before he can log!!"

Too right. At one point I was face to face with only one guy in a shield less asp ex. I'm pretty sure my conda could have taken him out

I don't think so cmdr ;)

first you wanted to give us only 50t. we said more. you gave us 100t because it was your only chance to go away ^^

greetings cmdr

^^^^could have only given u 60- 65 etc. 100 seemed fair as there were 4 of you. You all need to make a living after all.

Greeting commander (pirate).

Some days I feel like the softly softly approach. Others, a bit faster on the old hatchbreakers. A lot depends on how cooperative they are. You don't even get a chance to say hi before most trader's log these days. It's absolutely pointless. Until it's actually fixed, theres no incentive to dabble in piracy and rather than my main thing now it's very much gone to where I MAY pirate a player if the opportunity presents itself.

Piracy, for all its disdain some here bestow upon it ISN'T cheating. Combat logging, on the other hand, is.

Absolutely.

Absolutely.

Kaushpoos was a gold mine for pirating just AFTER the GPP as there was a metals CG that bad massive amounts of traffic.

A similar CG at 3447 brought the numbers in again, but it's not an exaggeration to say maybe two in ten trader's *don't* log as soon as they drop. Right now, theres a fair few doing the slave run over at Bestii and whilst it would be great I know that at least two of those have combat logged on me previously.

They make one side of the game irrelevant by cheating. People can try and reason it any way they like, but cheating is cheating. Theres no middle ground. It's no different to ragequitting FIFA because you went 3-0 down. At least in FIFA, you still lose and your poor sportsmanship goes recorded. In Elite, theres NO recourse for cheating. All reward, no risk.

If you want to pop over to Karid there's good pickings over there, but be warned my boys and I got logged on 8 times yesterday. But usually there's enough to go around, so our place is your place! The Crimson Flag never forces another pirate out into the cold! :D

P.S. if you do come over, we have an agreement with a certain player that starts with a C. If we don't pirate his wing, he won't kick us out!

Yea I gave up on Karid. It used to be golden now it's a :) hole. Loggers from one end of that system to the other.

Yeah, we have a specific system that isn't Karid. It's within 100LY, but anyone who really wants a good place (to pirate) can meet us there and one of ours will direct them there.

Also, if I may ask where are you pirating? Doubt we'll ever see eachother anyway as we have always had trouble instancing so I don't think I will be stealing any costumers.

Cant remember off the top of my head I'll let you know in abit, one of the guys mentioned it as a currently high paying slave route, so we figured why not check it out

Consider me curious. PM me your gamertag and I'll pop your way, commander. Also - might be prudent to let me know who I'm not robbing before I go there. Wouldn't want to put you out.
