I do hope we get the less wipe possible. Otherwise, give us money. I'd love to try the anacondas. So far from the start of PB1, I've just managed to get into a Lakon yesterday.

Yes, i'm starting to make huuuuuge benefits on trading routes. But wasn't the point of the Lakon to do so ? I've earned this money the hard way. Still quite gambling a lot on it at each trip between station.

The goal is not to be back on a sidewinder last week. If that would happen, I'd not touch the Beta until release.

Furthermore, with the new incremential way of update, wipes should be less needed.

PB2 is brilliant. I'm really enjoying the game being so much more stable, and running with a good framerate practically all the time. I love the addition of small trader ship.

I also like that the more obious money making exploits have been closed. I look forward to every possible cheat and hack going away (keep sending those tickets, boys and girls).

What I don't like, is letting people keep even ridiculous amounts of money they had massed up. The are a lot of people who directly hacked the clients, or used an exploit to have literal millions of credits. For some, add several zeroes.

Letting people keep such fortunes means that the economy simulation went to the crapper in moments. With just 8 systems, it doesn't take many trips with a Lakon and an endless bank account to utterly flood market demand and flatten the economy. The result is more money on accounts already bursting from exploit money, and ruining the testing of the economy simulation, and trader gameplay for those who wanted to work their way up fair and square.

How about a credit and ship wipe Frontier? If not for everybody, then at least take it down to at max 200k (including sell value of ship and gear), and an utter reset for anybody with more than a million.

I had the exact same thought, I saw posts made by people who wanted a full reset because they did not play PB1 they would be at a worse position in PB2, that did not bother me but the market issues do bother me, I agree FD made a mistake here, I think they should of wiped the slate clean this round.

This is beta so expect wipes especially when people hack the clients or use an in-game exploit, look at the bigger picture here, someone with millions of credits and a lakon can flatten the markets ruining the trade system as there are on 8 systems, in turn that will make it harder for newer players to have a go trying to play the game, that will hurt FD, as many players cannot be bothered to grind small amounts of credits trading because of people hacking/cheating I expect full wipes, I hope for FD sake the next build is a full wipe.

This isn't release, its not some form of early access so why get precious about what you have? We were warned at the beginning that wipes would happen and already we have people crying that it might happen.

I hope FD stick to their word and wipe, wipe and wipe often. If they are merely testing the markets right now that's fine but when they wiped before 2.1 and gave people back money etc. Well that's not a wipe.

If the PB trade routes are becoming over-exploited, and not generating much profit, I am pretty sure once the entire galaxy is opened up, the situation will improve. While certain routes will be popular and generate little profit (Sol - Barnards Star), the situation will balance itself out.

Also FD can stimulate demand with injected events should the situation warrant. Examples would be virus outbreaks generating demand for medical supplies, localised war generating demand for weapons, etc.

I've just worked up to affording another pulse laser and a heatsink ejector so I can test that heat sinks are fixed, at this rate it will be months before I get anywhere near testing anything around bigger weapons and/or bigger ships.

So here I am in beta, wanting to test, happy to accept everything will be wiped, but I'm just grinding. Now I'm not saying just gift everyone 3m CR. But at the moment I don't feel I'm really contributing much to the test team. So if I'm just playing for playing's sake, well, it's not a great use of my time to be honest - I don't have hours and hours to spend on it.

Have to agree on this. All this idea of we just shouldn't put hours in it, it's just a beta, we need wipes. Okay then ! But how do we try things ? If they take days to buy ? There is a big confusion in how it's been done.

Oh yeah, so we hope for a wipe in the aim to grind faster. I don't think a lot of lakon players that have millions still bother to flatten the economy as you say. I think people that can afford Anaconda have done so and are trying its combat capacities.

If the aim of each wipe is to see how long it takes to grind to another ship, that's pointless IMO. Why do people hack in the first place ?

How about 105 trips to afford a Cobra full of the same cargo then another 40 or so trips to afford the Lakon 9 (as one example, this has piqued my interest.... Cue an excel model ).

Well, I've earned my £250k Cr, Cobra and weapons the hard way, so a credit wipe at the levels you suggest would be frustrating to say the least.

It worth keeping in the back of your mind that there will be at least one more wipe to come. Possibly in the transition into Standard Beta and almost certainly again into Gamma.

I'd say definitely on Standard Beta launch.

It would be huge mistake to not do so. Can you imagine the rage from the newcomers, which will outnumber us I'm sure.

It just wouldn't be fair to them.

I'd expect a wipe once all the major credits holes are patched for sure.

Added: about a week before the next scheduled 'reset' why wouldn't FD inject credits as they did before?
Frankly, I'm kind of surprised Standard Brta hasn't gotten solo combat missions (like PB did during Alpha) now that we are this far into PB (might get more PB upgrades?) or why there hasn't been more asking for it!???

I still think there should be a full reset for every new build as was originally stated by Frontier Developments . If they want people to test new things with extra cash needed then why not just give every new tester 2 million credits before the new build launches . So that every tester gets to try new things until the game is finished and ready to go in to the Gamma faze before full retail launch .
