Thrusters disabled fighting pirates....

i repaired my fsd in supercruise once.... i should have anticipated the outcome.

I still have nervous flashbacks from the days when I just started out with the game and got this cool mission from Professor Palin: Go gather some thargoid stuff for me.... Even did the research and knew that they will damage my ship, so clever me installed an AFMU and headed out. After collecting said things my ship started desintegrating from the inside. As I enter supercruise to get away from the surface all those warning messages of melting modules have my anxiety rising to dangerous levels.... so, about time to fire up that AFMU! The next thing clever me does, is to repair the FSD....

My best advice for all of this...
Do not build and fly paper ships.
Build ships that can take a few hits and then get away.
You are allowed to run away and survive.
